Portland Locksmith

Con Artists. This company is out to rip you off. I highly recommend that you select another company. Despite the name, Portland Locksmith is NOT not a locally based company. Their receipt states that the CORPORATE OFFICE IS LOCATED IN CLEARWATER, FL (Dependable Locks, Inc.) Here's what they did wrong: 1) They consistently misrepresented the time of arrival. At one point he even called us to say 20 more minutes, but still hadn't shown up after 45. 2) We were given a reasonable quote over the phone (about $55) but when the locksmith came out he sait that it would be $80. We replied we would shop around, then, and he claimed we owed him $40 just for coming out. I, of course, called the company to complain, and they said that was a discount from the $115 he should have been charging. I refused to pay them anything, and they eventually relented and said they'd do it for the price we "thought we were quoted" 3) The locksmith's tool became stuck in my door. He repeatedly pulled with all his weight, shaking the car, and eventually broke my lock. The lock is now lost inside the body of the door and the door is completely unfunctional. His response? This is "OUR BAD KARMA COMING BACK". The company's response? Call back on Monday. The only redeemable aspect is he charged us $20 in the end, but I suspect we'll be paying a lot more than $35 to get the car door fixed.  View Less … View More

Beware of this locksmith service!. They provided a terrible service. 1. The locksmith was 45 mins late! 2. When I asked his name he said: "does it matter?", he was extremely rude.

3. He lied about the pricing, when I talked to him on the phone he told me it would be around $60-70, I thought that was reasonable. Then we wanted to charge me $150!!

4. And he made the problem worst by hammering on the lock and on the door.  View Less … View More
