Dentistry For Children

How many kids ASK to go to the dentist!?. There is no worse feeling as a parent than seeing your child hurt, bleeding, and in pain , but that was us 2 months ago when our 3 year old fell at a trip to grandmas house. I was terrified as i saw my daughters mouth not only bleeding but he teeth shifted up and inward. It was 10 pm(waaaay past bedtime) and i called the office, and left a message. Within 5 minutes i had not only 1 but 2 missed calls from Dr. Downey. He told us to come in (it was a weekend and afterhours) he was so patient, calming, my husband and i said he treated her as if she was his own child in the chair. He even giggled along as my daughter "tooted," over and over throughout the entire check. When we left close to midnight, my little one was puffy, and sore, but smiling. We got a call from the office checking up on her and to check her teeth in two weeks, no charge. This time our little one was thrilled, to go back and see him again. The Doctors at Dentistry for Children treat their patients little toddler or teen, like they are their own. When is our next dentist appointment??. I have 3 daughters who quite eagerly ask me often, "When is our next dentist appointment?" It's just because they have been treated so well by Dr. Downey and his staff. My youngest one needed 4 fillings at the tender age of 4 and I thought to myself that it was going to make future dentist visits a really stressful event, but Dr. Downey handled it so nicely that he is my daughter's "favorite dentist for ever!!"  View Less … View More

Dr. Ashley and staff are wonderful. My two children had a great experience at Behind the Smile. This office was recommended to me by a family friend and I am so glad she did. My son is autistic and usually gets very anxious at the dentist. Dr. Ashley and staff made him feel very comfortable and he had no problems at his first visit (or the next two visits). My daughter also saw Dr. Ashley for her very first dental exam and she actually had fun! I also love that the doctors send personal notes after the visits. Our Kids Love to go to the Dentist!. Our kids have both had traumatic mouth injuries and we have taken them here for each episode. The staff and doctors put both the parents and kids at ease.

We love the game center in the waiting room and the movies above the chair.
