I love their Banana Walnut pound cake!. I love their Banana Walnut pound cake!
H Mart needs to get their management act into gear..
Totally confused personnel. Do they have a discount card or not? I asked about it and one person said no card, another said no discounts only points for cash (!) and no one offered up an
application for a free card although people I know have them.
What a confused place.…
Giantic Asian Store. I just found out that HMart existed and was excited to try it out as I am a frequent shopper of Uwajimaya and Fubonn. This grocery is enormous, much bigger than either Uwajimaya or Fubonn. It outdoes the produce section even compared to some regular grocery stores (like Freddy's or Safeway). It is really incredible and I saw produce that I have not seen anywhere else. The seafood section is also impressive and they offer 8 different ways to clean and cut your whole fish. This place is primarily situated for frozen foods and although I was able to get the majority of the things I wanted on my list, was a little disappointed in their dry goods (like sauces, pastes, spices, and noodles). Some things were overpriced, like the vegetarian hoisin sauce which is normally around $3, was more than $5 here. I did not really notice any veggie meats either. They have a free membership card which gives you discounts, which is nice. I think I would come back here though just for the produce and seafood. It's worth the trip to check it out.…
Bad customer service.
This place is ok for buying food..., but NOT good for buying appliance. Last week we bought a BBQ grill oven, and we wanted to return it after 2 days. Normally when we return any appliance to other
stores...such as Target, Walmart...even Uwajimaya, the customer service don't argue with us. This is part of their service, right? But H-Mart let their manager come out to "educate" us. He took the manual out and asked us if we read the manual before using it. We just said this oven doesn't produce enought heat we expected. Then he said "here it says the power is ...W. Didn't you read the manual?" Finally he gave us credit for the store, instead of money back, which is very inconvenient for us. And he said "this time I gave you credit, but not next time." We should have told him...NO NEXT TIME!!!
I think H-Mart maybe still uses Korean culture to treat customers, but here is America.…
