Inside this cool, cavernous, cement-floored wine shop there aren’t racks of wine or even shelved bottles for the West Hills clientele to peruse. Rather, the staff creates a more open design by displaying retail wines in crates clustered together on the floor. Above each grouping of crates, large lettered signs mark the regions the staff culls the collection from. When asked, these attentive afficionados will share tasting notes and winery histories verbally; there’s no relying on printed tasting notes to make a purchase here - like the shelves, they don’t exist.

Sign up for the shops monthly wine club and for $50 youll receive three bottles of hand-selected red wines, tasting notes, recipes, and food pairing recommendations from the expert staff. Members can re-order club wines at a discount, and also receive invites to two member-only events each year.
When to Go:
Pay the shop a visit when theyre hosting classes, wine tastings or events in conjunction with the cheese boutique that shares its space. A calendar is available online, along with a place to sign up for the email list.
