Bouncer stole my money

I have been to the Dixie on "slow" evenings - where there are about 2 people in it. The decor is okay, seems like it might be fun on a weekend. We went there as a bachlorette group on June 27th. You can go around the side of the line to get in quicker if you are a birthday party or something special. The bouncer told us how much it was to get in, we gave him the money - only to find out the cashier is inside of the club. I told her I had paid the bouncer. Unfortunatly for me, he had no recolection of the event. Basically he stole our money. Needless to say we left - very irritated, and $40 light. We went across the street to Dirty and proceeded to have a good night. I will not recommend Dixie to anyone else. The bouncers are theives.

Can I see your ID and possibly a DNA sample?

Awful. Only bar I've ever been to where three cops literally are sitting on the trunk of their car waiting for you to leave. Has there been shootings in this bar? The cops even come inside to patrol. Then there is the unnecessary long line when the bar is half full. This place is like a low grade Coyote Ugly. Like partying in a quasi internment camp with screeching music.

Pros: Attractive Nichol Richie types that haven't ate a sandwich in months
Cons: Lighting, screeching music, musclehead bouncers and the Gestapo watching your every move.

Great Music, Great People but....

I have been to Dixie twice. Both times it was great! The enviroment is great, the music is perfect to dance to and it's not your typical rap and hip hop music either. My only complaint was the amout of alcohol in the drinks. Everything is measured out......so I just stick to beer...which they serve in cans......and I loved that! As far as the DJ goes, I have requested songs both times I was there and they never got played......but I didn't focus on it too much, a lof of other great songs were played. I recommend this place to anyone, it's awesome!
