ok i guess :p.
first off, every single person had to be checked before entering, which takes a while.
the bands there arnt very good. and its really small and no ventilation.
Kicked out before I even got in.
After paying 28 bucks for tix to see the RZA, I was excited. I stood in line and notice a mellow search going on. When I was up in line I was searched and greeted respectfully, but then he felt who knows what in my pocket and instead of asking me to pull it out, just went for my pocket and I pulled back and said "whoa dude" to which he replied, "thats it, your out of here, you can't come in, no, leave" and started coming towards me and I walked off. I didn't have any contraband in my pocket, I felt violated like I was getting mugged, I had a good amount of money on me and you don't go digging into peoples pockets, not even police can do that ya know.
Anyways I took a little walk and cooled down and came back to say I was sorry and before I could explain myself, he says, no way man, get out of here. I sold my ticket fast cause it was sold out.
I spoke with some members of animal farm and they said that the promoters and other groups playing only gave them 10 minutes. A group that just got done touring the west coast with The Alcoholics and DJ Wicked should get more respect. They looked really dissapointed and upset by the promoter/venue. I feel bad for them. They got jobs and drove all the way up, hung out for sound check and everything, to play for 10 minutes. This may have been a one time thing, maybe it was just a "monday" kind of thing to happen. I am not going back.
