I had the absolute worse customer
service from Julie, a manager. Originally purchased shoes, and because of their comfort, wore them out of the store, only to realize later in the day that the shoe height was too tall and made my back hurt worse. Tried to return the shoes, and was told that a manager had to inspect them because they were worn. Was later contacted and told that my return was denied because of their strick walk-out policy.
I had never heard about their walk-out policy so I contacted the manager, Julie. I have never had a more hostile conversation with someone who, I thought, would want my business. There was no discussion allowed by Julie -- only her black and white policy. When I explained that Rose didn't explain the walk-out policy -- she simply argued that Rose did, and regardless, it's posted in the store so I should know better.
I certainly know better now. I never once felt that Julie was trying to identify a solution. It's clear they do not want or need my business. I encourage you not to give them your business either. Stick with Nordstrom!
Another poor return experience.
Bought a pair of clogs last night. Sign at register clearly says "Items with signs of wear may not be returned". Turns out receipt says something different, essentially you can't wear them outside. Anyhow, I wore them for maybe an hour, twisted my ankle twice, decided they wouldn't work for me.
Went to return and was berated and yelled at because there were a few specks of dirt in the soles, which I easily brushed out. Refused to take them back.
A second location claimed to be able to see wear in the rubber. (In one hour of use? Wow!).
A third location took them back without batting an eye, perfectly nice. So basically they wasted two hours of my time with their poor customer service. I would never go back. Also, a manager never returned my call.
Rude profiling a**holes!. I went in to purchase 2 pairs of keens. I was trying on shoes and the sales woman would not let me be. She kept following me and following me, asking about every 20 seconds if I needed help finding a size. All I was trying to decide was which 2 styles I wanted. After the third pair I tried on, she asked me even again if I needed help. I kindly said no but thank you and that if I did, I would let her know. She then asked me to leave. I was shocked, and even asked if she was joking. She made a scene in front of other customers even. I left. I know it is because I have dreads. I dress nice, I am polite, but she always follows and stalks me while I'm there shopping. I have never been asked to leave any establishment until today. I will never go back... nor should you. Shouldn't own a store in Portland, let alone on Hawthorne if you can't handle the way the customers look...
Fantastic customer service!. I walked in wearing my dirty, well used and loved Danskos in desperate need of new work shoes. I warned them that I was going to be that person that wanted to try on everything and I'll be darned if they didn't help me do it! I never felt pressured, she answered all of my questions but left me alone to make a decision. I probably took over an hour having tromped around in Dansko, Keen and Troentorps of all sizes and styles and left with the perfect shoes for me and a big smile on my face. I will go back, and have sent many folks their way. I recommend that the person who is dissatisfied with their return policy contact the shoe manufacturer for compensation rather than take it out on the retailer.
Poor return policy. I have purchased shoes at Clogs 'n More each season for the past couple of years. I have been happy with the selection and prefer to shop locally owned businesses, which is why I have returned. Recently, I purchased 2 pairs of shoes for my daughters for the summer season. My youngest daughter's shoes left her with 4 bad blisters after a couple of hours of wear. I called the manager to inquire about returning the shoes and she told me that the return policy is no refunds on shoes that have been worn. I brought my daughter in, showed them the blisters and still no budge. I have a store credit, which I will use. But I won't be returning to Clogs 'n More for future purchases.
I miss abdul. I loved shopping there when Abdul worked there. He was so helpful and did whatever he could. Clogs n' more really missed out by letting him go. He's one of the only reasons I bought shoes from this company.
