In defense to nicoles negative posting

by Employees

From Audy at Elite Sante- About negative feedback. (I worked with her personally)

We spoke on the phone with her in June when she wanted to cancel her account, we told her that we just needed a note in writing and her early termination fee, she agreed. (Way before the hurricane) We put a courtesy HOLD on her account for TWO months awaiting her letter. No letter ever came. We assumed that she no longer wanted to cancel and continued to process her payments, as far as we were informed, she was still attending the club. Then we get an angry call in September from her. I tried to explain that she never sent her cancellation letter, so in turn we cannot cancel her account. I again put her account on hold anticipating her cancel letter. Again....NO letter. We cannot just cancel anyones account with a random phone call from a random person. Contracts do not work that way, and we all know that. We did NOT lie to her or bend the contract. You cannot bend something like that. She was well aware of her responsibilities and is upset at us because she did not handle her own situation. In the end we DID help her but she somewhere forgot to mention that. She also sent a negative bulk e-mail out to all of our members and threatened our employees and company. She is a negative person and needs to take responsibility for her own actions.

Elite Sante- Kicking you when you are down

by nicolelarocca

I used to love this place until.... THIS!

I am a Portlander going to graduate school in New Orleans. I just returned to my New Orleans apartment after evacuating from Hurricane Gustav.

I finally got power back, and am able, for the first time in weeks, to check my bank account-thinking I had a few dollars left for groceries after this expensive and horrid evacuation.

Much to my dismay, I saw a charge (and overdraft fee) from a gym that I had joined in Portland. Elite Sante Womens Fitness, which I enjoyed daily when I lived there, took it upon themselves to charge me even after I had emailed and called them telling them I wanted to cancel my membership due to the fact that I don't live in the state.

I explained to them my desperate situation, asking if I could have the money refunded. I also explained that I could pay whatever my cancellation fee was when I received my student loans. They wouldn't hear of it. I am sure in the tiny print somewhere, (which they were happy to read to me in a robotic voice) they have a right to keep draining my bank account, because they didn't have a signature to cancel.

Come on people, have a heart! After seeing the amazing acts of kindness during this storm, it is so depressing to call back home and be treated with no empathy.

Hungry in New Orleans!

  • Pros: Having the gym to yourself due to limited membership.. very peaceful
  • Cons: Lie about membership- will not bend contract even under extreme circumstances

Luxurious, spa-like

by katesalot

After working out and relaxing in the steam room, or using the Swiss shower, I feel like I've just received a full hour of pampering..much different from how I used to feel after a trip to my old gym! I've never had to wait to use the treadmill, and in the middle of the day there is rarely anyone using the gym at all. No boys allowed means that I don't care how I look when I work out, or if my pantylines are showing. I can use the hula hoops and shake my booty on the aerobic floor without worrying about attracting unwanted attention. The staff know me by name and there are no pushy gym salesmen that I have to constantly dodge. I feel like a princess here!

  • Pros: Brand new equipment, stunning facilities, individual attention, great prices
  • Cons: If you feed off of other peoples energy in a mega gym, this is not for you because of limited membership
