Mio Sushi's complex menu, with an emphasis on fresh and inventive Northwest fish, invite explorations that don't disappoint.
The new outdoor seating only makes this great place even greater. California Rolls like your Grandma made 'em or should have!
Tasty and fun Bento!.
I absolutely love bentos that have character. The Bentos as Mio Sushi are really good and are fun to order and eat!
There are lots of options to choose from that can go into your bento. You don't have to order sushi, if you don't want to. For example, they have teriyaki chicken, panko veggies, salad, pot stickers, sushi, etc. Many different variations. You just write down what you want and hand it to the server.
I enjoy picking out all of the options that will go into my bento. Everything I've tasted so far is really good.
Long Wait, Uncomfortable.
I went into the NoPo Mio Sushi today. We waited forever for our order to be taken. We spent more time waiting to order, waiting for our check, waiting for our check to get picked up and return, than we did actually eating.
The only person who was attentive was a girl who was training, and it seemed she wasn't allowed to do anything but refill drinks and clear tables. The other server was yelling at her the whole time, mostly from across the restaurant. When the trainee was refilling our drinks the other server came up too her to bark at her more, right at our table. It was really uncomfortable, and we felt bad for that poor girl. She was working her butt off.
The food was fine, but I will never go back to that location.
Much better than a sushi train for about the same $$.
I love this location, the one in NW is not as good as here. The waitresses are busy but nice and skilled the sushi is great esp. for the price and the fact that mio is more of a fast service cafe than a resturant.
You can eat nice cuts of sushi for a great price
Oishii!!!!
Get a great afforadable meal.
So While you can get some great sushi rolls for super cheap. The service has been not the friendliest at this north portland location.
Servers seem annoyed with the idea people would like to come and eat at their establishment.
The food is what keeps me coming back though. It always fills me up for under $13.
best sushi in nopo!. maybe the only sushi in nopo? it's totally up to the mio standard (which isn't the best, but definitely good), usually prompt seating, and friendly staff. outside seating is a plus in the summer. locals all eat here and for the price, no one is complaining! shorter wait than any of the other locations, a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
