My favorite Hooters!.
I've read some of the reviews here and I agree with some of the pros and cons. I normally go to Hooters by myself so I usually sit at the bar. The girls there are always nice, attentive and they treat you good.
However, the few times I've actually decided to sit out in the dining room area, I notice the girls on the floor don't pay much attention to you. Maybe it's because I'm by myself so they don't expect a large a tip as they would for catering to tables with more people.
However, there have been times I've sat in the dining room area when it was very slow. Lots of girls on the floor and they just stand around chitchatting and not even paying much attention to the customers. Even overheard the girls talking about how much they needed money, etc and yet there they were, at work and not doing what they need to to earn more money.
But I'm glad to say I have more good experiences with this Hooters than I've had bad. And for the girls (Katie, Shay, Jenny and Kimmy) and even the manager Pat who worked hard to give me a consistently good and enjoyable experience, I will give them the credit and thanks they deserve.
Maybe I'll have a better experience in the dining room area if I were to go with more people, but until then I will stick to the bar and enjoy my beer and chicken strips/wings. And I'll continue to try and stop by for their awesome Monday burger deals and Wednesday Wingsday specials as much as I can :)
Terrible experience. Service was awful. Our waitress was obviously not hired for her ability to take orders - I ordered a large beer, I got a small. I asked for orange juice for my kids, they got lemonade. We asked for breaded wings, we got 'naked'. We visited on Veterans Days - my huband is active duty, and the Hooters website advertised "10 free wings" for military personnel at "participating locations". The Jantzen Beach Hooters was not a "participating location". Instead they offered a free chicken sandwich, which my husband ordered - he asked for breaded and with hot sauce. What he got was not breaded and had no sauce, and was just not tasty at all - and then the waitress tried to argue with us that it "wasn't one of the free ones". It was just a bad experience all around. On a side note, do not hold the Jantzen Beach, Portland location as a representative of ALL Hooters. I have been to other locations and the staff has been friendly and knowledgeable, and service was fast, friendly, and ACCURATE. Hooters does have the best hot wings I've ever found, and I thoroughly intend to return to Hooters - just never again to this location.
What a nightmare. I decided to take my husband to Hooters for deep fried pickles and a burger. He'd never been and I thought he'd like to food and the view. What a mistake. Walked in sat for 15 minutes without a hello, offer of water, nothing and it was not busy at all. Several waitresses ( if you call them that) sat in a corner chatting. Another helped people at a table close to us...gave me eye contact and still we got no service. I will never go there again. They may wear cute outfits and think there tip is for sure...but that's just bad business. Our bill would have probably been $50 or more and if we had good service and food would have went back. As we got up and left a waitress said " have a nice day". What a bunch of retards. I am seriously gonna write Hooters Headquarters...surprised they're still in business.
killer place to be. I've been going the since they first opened me and my brother went their and we had a blast we're always treat with respect and my friends josh droped his hot wings three times and the girls help us with proving that he could turn red with hooter pokey we're always asked how things are by more then one of the girls I myself had menu upside down for a half hour just to order a coffee and they dumped a five gallon bucket of ice water on my brother when he was trying have then dump it one me and they added ketchup and mustard to it that was 80$ dollar night not counting the 20$ tip when both left it was the blast
hooters i fun. ive been going their since they first opened. the food is good. as of date my party is the only one to get in trouble with corporate. everytime i go their we have food fights. whip cream fights. the girls make it so much fun. sometimes it gets busy and you cant get that much attention. i never left a tip smaller than a ten. they are the only place ive been where you are told to do push ups and then have the girls jump on your back while your doing them. they have always treated me and my group with respect.
Hooters, Sucks !!!.
Hooters Sucks ! It ruins my birthday !!! - - Today
Two days ago it was my 64 years birthday. I read a site from web it states that you get 10 free wings on your birthday from Hooters. So I went to Hooter's website to register their e-club. I received an email confirmation right after signing up. I followed the link they sent to their website and there is a big ad stating that you get 10 free wings on your birthday if you signed up with their e-club. So I printed the web page and happily went with my wife to Hooters at Jantzen beach intended for birthday celebration. We showed the print out to the girl. The girl acknowledged it. Not until she brought 10 wings out to our table did she tell us that the ad that we showed to her earlier is invalid. Actually a day earlier we sent the e-club headquarter an email inquiring whether there is a special coupon for birthday we did not receive any response. So we assume that ad on their website would serve a coupon. Ended up that we had to pay the bill for those junk flavored chicken wings. A wing should not have costed almost a dollar each. The waitress' name is Kathy (or Katie). She even did not bring us the right change.
One penny short. I will not recommend Hooters to anyone period.
