Great service amazing selecton.
The other reviews make this look like a 'gay' only shop... I didn't find that it should be stereotyped at all. I felt really welcome and the customers were all types. Mostly woman shopping for guys. I've only shopped the suburban Bridgeport Village store in the past but I work downtown (live in Lake Oswego) this time my wife insisted I try on some swimsuits, as my wife and I are about to go a trip to Spain. I started at Nordstorms, then Macy's... no luck., and both stores said to go to the 'Underwear Store'.
The offering was great with several brands. I bought Speedo trunks and some surfshorts. I also bought some underwear.
The service was fantastic ... the girl was working the store herself, other customers were in the store. She took me around the store after I selected a swimsuit showing me the fabrics. She was very knowledgeable, it's obvious that they have a very good training program. As I mentioned above in the comment posted to another reviewer, I bought bamboo underwear and some made from another tree fiber plus a 3 pack, the price on the 3 pack was lower then what I had just looked at at the Nordstroms Rack. I received great service and a fair price, low on the 3 pack. I'll go back. I didn't get a gay vibe at all... and I love supporting a local small business. (I had to write after reading the other review)
Horrific customer service.
On a recent afternoon I stopped by to pick up a pair for my boyfriend. I had been in about a month ago with him and there was a specific pair he wanted. When I walked in to the store I was completely ignored. I was having trouble finding the desired pair, and it had to have been obvious as I had to make three passes of the wall before I found them. No help was offered, the employee simply stood behind the counter. Once I was finally able to locate the ones I wanted on my own I reached up to check sizes. I pulled down the correct size for the intended wearer (an obvious two sizes below what I would wear) and at that point the employee deigned it time to acknowledge my presence and informed me that the brand I was looking at ran small, and what I had in my hand would not fit me. I thanked him for the information and proceeded to walk to the counter to purchase the already selected pair. That was the extent of our conversation for my visit.
Usually I would just chalk this up to a bad day, or poor service, if not for the fact that as I walked out, a young skinny boy walked in and was immediately catered to. Just because I'm not your type doesn't mean I deserve to be ignored.
Best Selection Anywhere. Selections that you can't find anywhere else with an extremely personable staff. Great selections for gifts.
