Bought a reconditioned washer/dryer set from Community Appliances for $150 for the pair. Quick delivery and installation. 2 years later...the set is still on the job and doing great. Highly recommended. Didn't give them 5 stars only because the selection is kind of small. there were only 5 sets to choose from.

This Place Will Take Your Money. I called this appliance repair based on good reviews on-line. After my experience, I feel compelled to add my own voice to those reviews.

This business is a complete rip off.

The owner himself came out to "work" on our dishwasher. When he left, it sounded as bad as it did when he arrived--grinding noise, groans--and functioned just as badly too, leaving half the dishes not washed. He took our $50. All work is guarenteed. When I tried to make use of that guarentee, I was told that they didn't actually do any work, so there was no guarentee.

Can you practically hear the diabolical laughter in the background? It's a crazy business model, and I think word needs to get out.

The dishwasher is broken. Luis, the owner, took our $50. Nothing has been fixed.

I'd say skip this place and go with a professional service that might charge a little more up front, but will do the work and treat you right. Anyplace but here.

Great used appliance store. Excellent customer service and good deals. Items were delivered and installed on the date and time promised.

will certainly do more business with them and recommend to others.

Damage during delivery. I thought this was going to be a great local and family owned business to support, but during the delivery of my refrigerator extensive damage was done to my wood floors. The owner came to look at the damage, took responsibility for it and we agreed that the company would reimburse me for the damage that was done. When I went to the store to pick up the check the owner informed me that he had talked to a lawyer or insurance agent and was not obligated to reimburse me for anything. He agreed that his company damaged my property but had decided that he was not going to take responsibility for it despite our verbal agreement. This is the first time I have ever encountered this type of attitude in Portland and was very taken aback. Very disappointing and I do not recommend that you support this business.
