1220 Main Restaurant & Bar

1220 Main is one restaurant you don't want to miss!. 1220 Main is a deligtful restaurant that I'll bet many people have not tried although it is very busy at lunch time and for good reason. It is a great downtown business lunch place. The service is friendly but the food is very nicely prepared. They have an extensive lunch menu which has everything from fire grilled pizzas to steaks and everything in between. The atmosphere is more fine dining but the prices are reasonable. We enjoyed lunch so much we went back for happy hour that same week. That was smart on our parts, I do declare! This is the place to be for happy hour in Vancouver. It reminds me of being at Cheers! The big wood bar and tables by the window complete the scene. Appetizers are really so tasty like the hummus or pizzas or spinach artichoke cheese with pitas. There is quite a bit to choose from and they make a mean dink too! We now meet there with friends and family too. Dinner, yeah we had to try that too - albiet another evening. Everything we ordered from the steak to the salmon and cesare salads were very nicely not over done! It's not five star but in Vancouver I'd give it a four. Oh yeah, and they are also part of the Portland Dining Club which for us is just icing on the cake! You should really check it out and see if you don't agree that this place is one to keep on your calendar. Oh yeah, we happen to be there with live music playing.
