Love Studio Blue!.
First and most importantly, the classes are fantastic and the instructors are first class. The instructors really pay attention to you, help you modify poses if you have injuries and are incredibly knowledgeable. Who needs a personal trainer when you can go to a Sculpt class here? Seriously, save your $ - they work your arms, butt, legs. Oh and if you can get into their Booty Camp workshops. Phenomenal, the BEST deal, you work HARD, sweat and are wonderfully achy afterwards, but girl, with bikini season here ... it's the way to go. Oh and it doesn't hurt that you are treated like family here. I just love the people. I'd hate to let the secret out, but they are the BEST boutique pilates studio in PDX. No joke.
Studio Blue is FABULOUS!.
I came to Studio Blue after purchasing a Groupon-the Groupon came and went, but I am still coming to classes! I’ve been doing yoga and Pilates for a little over 2 years, and I had been looking for a class that incorporates the relaxation offered through Yoga and the tight workout of Pilates. Rebecca’s Yoga/Pilates sculpt class IS that perfect balance I’ve been searching for-I leave class feeling relaxed, while my arms, thighs and buns leave with that satisfied burning feeling of a good workout! I would recommend her class to anyone who is looking for that perfect balance, not to mention the studio space itself is relaxing and the staff and the other people in class are always friendly and cheerful.
As long as the studio continues to offer classes, I will be coming to them!
Before happening upon Studio Blue, I had taken pilates and yoga classes at least four other studios, but I never really felt totally comfortable. Dan Walton and the Studio Blue team changed that.
The mat room is handsomely designed, spacious and at the same time, cozy. Everything about the studio is aesthetically pleasing and comfortable, but that's not really why it's so great.
Dan, Wendi, Angelina, Ishbel, Rebecca, Tami... I've taken classes from all of them, and each class is special in its own way. I feel really motivated by each of these teachers, and it's what keeps me coming back.
I also think the classes are well-priced. The monthly unlimited mat classes are a steal, and because I feel like I'm getting so much (I go 5-6 times a week) I can splurge on extras, like the special weekend workshops they offer, or sweat in the 6-week Boot Camp.
Studio Blue is far and away the best pilates and yoga studio I have ever encountered.
Studio Blue has helped me change my body and my life.
I discovered Studio Blue after taking a yoga class from one of its instructors, Angelina Vasile. Angelina's approach to conditioning is unreal and her attention to detail is impeccable. I started with a private reformer session with her and started exploring the mat classes offered. I have been nothing but impressed. The staff are top notch, facilities are clean and well maintained, classes are small and I am always greeted like family. I love that the staff truly cares about me and asks how my injuries are healing. This isn't a factory-style approach to fitness. My hands-down favorite class is booty camp taught by Tami and Dan! Its an hour of weights-cardio-pilates fun. Its transforming my body and is addicting. I've never had so much fun getting in shape. Can not tell enough people about this wonderful studio.
Best Pilates Workout.
“Studio Blue is the first place I experienced Pilates. I have tried many different kinds of fitness and meditation, thus; Studio Blue remains the best for exercise, sculpting, meditation, weight loss, flexibility, health and overall fitness...”
PILATES IN PORTLAND.
The energy of Studio Blue has an open, inviting, zen-like elegance about it. Dan is passionate about giving his clients all of his knowledge, compassion, and integrity that combine to create a quality experience...not to mention a great body!
Great place for all levels of pilates.
At 70 I want to be able to stay at least as fit as I am and the staff at Studio Blue is atune to my needs and limitations and excellent with their detailed and clear instructions. I would recommend this for 'gentle' as well as advanced pilates or for anyone who is just beginning and needs to get to know the techniques.
