best yoga in town. I feel like I have found heaven on earth! Fantastic Chia, she truly fantastic. When you walk in the door you are welcomed into a space devoid of mirrors, who knew how distracting they were until they are missing. Chia has great technique with out being too yogi, and i love her use of essential oils. The class is different every visit as are the students. This is not your typical yoga studio, it's a fitness studio with yoga. I haven't tried the personal trainer yet, but hope to in a few months. Until then I will see Chia as frequently as I can.…
!#%!&@# girl push-ups.
Miss Fit is the most practical, amazing workout situation I've ever experienced. Susanne (the owner and heart behind the concept) is a fitness McGuyver. She can put together a kick-ass workout with
nothing more than a rubber tube and a bench. The only ?workout? equipment I've used has been a rowing machine, an exercise ball, and a medicine ball. Everything I do at Miss Fit, I can recreate at home. Susanne has even helped me make everyday activities into mini-workouts (gardening, swinging my kids at the park). I've only been with them for about 6 weeks and I'm feeling more toned, flexible and strong. I weigh less and look better than I have since well before I had my first child.
As for the other players; Chia is a yoga goddess. She is so positive and energetic (but not hyper), that it's impossible not to feel great after her classes. She is the first yoga teacher that has given me feedback that was precise enough to help me feel like I was doing things correctly, but not so precise that I felt distracted. It's all about flow. And the little snippets of Thai massage she treats us with during our poses are delicious!
Now for Dr. Rupert. He is the coach of a local high school tack team and a German master athlete who somehow got me to run 5 laps around the Benson High school track as a ?warm up? prior to doing about 20 sprints (?Ve are just going to run until it is easiah to run zan to stop?). I haven't run that far without stopping in about 25 years and it felt great! Okay, that's a lie. My legs hurt like hell, but it felt great mentally. It was an amazing workout and he was kind enough to share his tasty, secret recipe fruit smoothie with me afterwards.
Clearly, I could go on for much longer about how wonderful Miss Fit is (have I mentioned the great shower, the ?my home is your home? vibe, and the fact that everyone is actually nice?), but you should just do yourself a BIG favor and check it out on your own.…
Most fun you'll every have getting fit.
I have never been one who looked forward to a workout until now. Miss Fit and her team has a very unique way of making me want to exercise. The studio is not intimidating or pretentious. The
trainers never made me feel uncomfortable about not knowing how to do something, or doing it wrong. Susanne?s knowledge and creativity make working out fun, while getting great results. Yoga with Chia is an experience like no other and her Saturday and Wednesday classes are the best deal, and workout in town.
If you ever thought you might want to try a personal trainer, this IS the place to start. You will not regret it!…
The best money I have ever spent!. I started going to Missfit about a year ago. From the moment I walked in the door, I felt welcomed by Susanne and her crew. From the incredible very personal training by Susanne, to the best Yoga I have ever taken from Chia, to the nutrionional consult, and even the massage, the people are well educated in their respective fields and warm nice humans to be around. The training can be as intense or as playful as you like, but I promise you will see results!! Even on the days where I felt like I hung out with a friend, the muscles that scream the next day are proof that I worked really hard!!! The space is clean and welcoming, and you are one on one with the trainer in that space which means NO MEAT MARKET GYM!!!! You never have to wait for the equipment, and the sapce is virtually yours during your session! I have referred every person I know to see Susanne and the missfit crew, not one of them is disappointed!!!! I have been to other trainers in the past, and the whole missfit system is where it is at!!!…
I've been with MissFit for 2.5 years-prior to that, I never made it more than 3 months working out. 6 months before I turned 40, I decided that I needed to find a personal trainer. I have gone to personal trainers at various gyms and in each case, they left before my prepaid sessions were up. I would lose momentum. Each gym I joined, I could get myself there for about 3 months-then was stuck in a 2 year membership that never got used. I felt guilty, ugly and fat. And, unless I took a class, I never pushed myself hard enough so I could see results. Finally, someone suggested a private, personal trainer, away from an intimidating gym-and no membership fees-just the cost of the trainer. I explored several of the other personal trainers on City Search but finally chose MissFit. Why? I trusted the owner, Susanne Wells. When I dropped 9% body fat in less than 4 month, without really changing my diet, I was hooked. Usually I workout with her or one of her wonderful specialists for 30 minutes to an hour, 3 days a week. You wouldn't think you could break a sweat in 30 minutes, but we don't mess around. Our heartrate never has a chance to drop. No waiting for equipment, no wiping off someone else's sweat...it's just burn and turn. I supplement my regimen with group 1 - 2 one hour Yoga Classes, so I can keep it affordable. I've lost 25 lbs since I started (165 down to 140), and I could lose another 15 to be just right. That's my fault. I still don't watch what I eat and I don't workout hard enough outside the MissFit Studio (and when she reads this, I'm in big trouble) (tee hee) but, muscle weighs more than fat and I am pretty darn strong at 5'2". I've never been athletic-and was very insecure because I thought I couldn't ever be healthy. My confidence and love for myself has grown along with my MissFit relationship. I look forward to working out (95% of the time-the other 5%-we'll, let's just say I'm one of the "higher maintenance workout whiners" and Susanne hasn't fired me yet!). MissFit is worth every single penny-I'm a better person mentally and physically!!!…
