Num num, in my tum. The wings may not be obscenely gigantic, but the sauces are to die for! The lemon pepper is out of this world, and the garlic parmesan is nothing to poopoo at, either! The homecut fries are delish, and the staff makes an effort to remember your name! Prices are good, and location is easy. A MUST-GO!
OK mini wings. It should be called Miniwing Stop. You know those teenie tiny drumettes you used to get it Swanson TV Dinners? It's like that. The prices are ok but be warned the wings are very small. The 3 Sauces I have tried were alright but nothing special. The fries are good and the boubon beans are the highlite of the menu.If you want to eat real sized, perfectly fixed and wonderfully sauced wings you should try Fire on the Mountain, instead.Wingstop is ok.Nice folks and good service, etc.Just so-so food,'cept for them beans.
Hottest sauce is good, wings are small.
"If the Anchor Bar is not on your way home, make a wing stop"
There is no way the owner didn't make that post.
Delicious food and superior customer service. Wing Stop is exactly what casual dining should be: consistently tasty food, reasonable prices, and welcoming service. Try the lemon pepper wings - I swear I crave them if it's been too long between visits - and the homemade fries - they actually taste like potatoes instead of that nasty oiled-starch taste you get with prefab fries. The Bourbon Baked Beans are made with real bourbon - not some weird processed, pasturized bourbon foodstuff. When I'm on the hook to bring a dish for potluck, I get their party packs and a handful of menus because the other guests always love the wings and always ask me where to get them. The best part for me though, is the service. I love patronizing businesses that treat me like a welcome neighbor and Wing Stop gets this right. Even when I'm just running in for a quick glass of iced tea (they have it on tap and it's not premixed with disgusting flavoring or sugar - bless them) I'm treated like they're glad to see me. It does my cynical heart good.
Buffalo's got nothing on these wings. Wing lovers, this is the place to be. Obviously fresh, great variety of flavors at every heat level, and terrific service. If the Anchor Bar in Buffalo is isn't on your drive home, make a Wing Stop. Yum!
Best wings, most addictive fries! Really friendly service, for not having wait staff. We tried this restaurant because Portland doesn't have much in the way of really good Buffalo-style wings. Well, now it does! We were waited on by the owner himself (counter service, but super nice) and had the hot and the lemon pepper wings, some fries, and some cole slaw. The hot is GREAT--just spicy enough, without being silly. The lemon pepper are really tasty, too, super crispy, unbreaded (they had some kind of breaded chicken available, though). Their fries are worth it all by themselves, fresh cut and with some kind of seasoning that made my hubby want to roll in them. I'm so happy I found them in time for Super Bowl this year! Oh, and the prices--we stuffed ourselves for $20 with a beer each. I wish more Portland restaurants could get it this right this reasonably!
