guarenteed to either make you full and bloated with oil or sick, the price is way to much for what you get and the food is super nasty, we threw almost all away, my son wouldn't even eat the choc pudding. we basically paid 41.00 for pop and ice cream. don't do it do go there it will be a waste.
Judge for Yourself. I have eaten at the Super King several times and they have always had good food that was hot and fresh, and the service is good. I suggest that if you want to eat there do a "walk through." That's what I did. I just asked the people at the front counter if I could take a look and they said sure. I went through and thought it looked very good, and the smell was very inviting. I say take the trip and check them out, before you take anyones advice.
It's ok! It's just a chicken hair. LMFAO!!!. I went here with my boyfriend for a romantic night out. I was disappointed from the get go. It had a cafeteria-like feel. Poor lighting. The dishes didn't match. The whole nine. Although their were many items to choose from, every single dish was absolutely disgusting. So much so, that I couldn't eat any of it. My boyfriend seemed to ok, but he kept finding littles bits of bone and other unknown, unedible particles in his food. The next day, he was really sick. Also, I found a piece of hair woven into my orange chicken. I wasn't going to say anything, but my boyfriend took it up to the counter and they just kept telling him, "It's ok. It's a chicken hair. No discount." It was funny and appalling at the same time. Then they charged for 2 glasses of milk when I only received one... and get this, I couldn't even finish the glass of milk i did receive because it was skim! SKIM MILK IN A RESTAURANT?? Hello?? I'm surprised this place has been open as long as it has been. I will NEVER go there again.
an ok place but not very friendly.. my first time at this place i experienced racism. there was good food overall but the costumer service wasn't very good.
average food. My first time experience at Super King Buffet is that it really wasn't that good. If all you eat is fast food or just want some 'substance' it is an ok place. Me, i'd rather spend a few more $ and eat at a restaurant and skip the 'buffet' experience.
great for quantity eaters.
i like to eat a lot and i often come here to do just that. They have great food it is a great value.
Great sushi, tasty fried pork with onions.
The only complaint is sometimes its a bit greasy.
Fresh over flowing authentic chinese foods. Went in very late one night with three others. Buffet was nearly empty. I asked if they were going to make more Crab Rangoon. They made a fresh batch and brought it and three others we asked about directly to the table. We closed them down and have become regulars. I thanked the staff for their attentiveness and was met with a sincere, "That's what we are here to do." They did it well.
So much variety at a good affordable price!. I come in here often and i never leave unsatisfied. They have the biggest selection i've ever seen in ANY buffet restaurant and for the amount of seafood they serve, the price seems so affordable and fair! They have mostly oriental food but also have some american food, a sushi bar, and mongolian stir-fry. Their They are also so clean. On weekends its $1 more so i recommend coming in on weekdays for dinner.
Best Oriental/American Buffet in Portland. The restaurant is a little pricey, but well worth it. The food is excellent, and is the largest variety I have ever seen at any buffet in the entire city. They have even got a mongolian grill, and fresh made sushi bar, all included in the regular price. The sushi is excellent, very well made and very fresh. The only downfall I have found in this restaurant is that it is usually very crowded during dinner time, and they don't replace the food as fast as it goes. I will say this, about half of the people I have brought to this restaurant like it, and half don't.
Dirty food + Poor Customer Service.
I've been in this restaurant many times and used to like eating there. The price and food were alright, not so good but also not too bad. However, after I went there last weekend and found disgusting stuff in my soup, I would never go back there again.
In the first bowl of hot and sour soup, I found some kind of string about 3 inches long. I thought maybe someone dropped it in there accidentally and I was just an unlucky person. When they brought a new soup out, I got another bowl and again found a piece of aluminum (looks like it?s from steel/aluminum sponge used to scrub fried pan). I told my friend to eat carefully, and of course he also found the same thing but bigger.
We put everything on the napkin and tried to reach a waiter/waitress, but no one cared. My friend had to bring it to the manager who immediately threw the evidence to the trash and said sorry. We finally had to pay for a dirty meal and went home hungry still. (Unfortunately, I took some pictures but do not know how to post them up. )
