Excellent, professional service! I searched Google for a salon and decided on Vanity Junkie. I called & they were able to get me in the next day for a major cut & color. I've had so many bad experiences I was worried when I booked the appointment but they were very friendly on the phone & accommodating. I went and my styllist was absolutely WONDERFUL! It is a clean, fun salon. Parking was easy. And I can't say enough good things about my stylist. I will be making this my hair care home!

Great find!. I came to this salon because of great reviews and a Living Social coupon. My stylist was Maria, and she asked right away what I wanted. I told her some subtle highlights and thicker bangs, and she was very receptive. She worked with me for the best look for my hair. She even curled my friends hair while my highlights "baking". I ended up with very pretty highlights and a cut that was exactly what I asked for. I noticed Maria didn't have any reviews yet at Vanity Junkie, and she deserves a good one. It was an excellent experience. Thumbs up!

nice place and treatments. I would say that this shop is a good find. I like that they have nice products and as well as nice staff. My haircut was done well and the the girl tried to be kind and not too chatty during my style. I wish that the parking would have been better though, otherwise I would go back.

love Love LOVE Vanity Junkie. The atmosphere and the ambiance of the Vanity Junkie is so cool, and the girls there are awesome. I am partial to Amanda because she did my hair for so long before I became a mom and had to stop pampering myself... but, I digress- I was never dissatisfied leaving there, and was always looking fierce after my appointment. You would be lucky to have any one of those girls work their magic on you and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. LOVE LOVE LOVE VANITY JUNKIE

Where hair dreams come true. I grew up with a hair stylist for a mom, so getting my hair done by someone else is a rare occurrence. Since I live too far from my mom, my hair had grown out into an ugly mess. It was time for a change. A BIG change. I didnt know what exact hair cut I wanted, but I did know that I wanted layers, and some bright blue streaks. I went to Vanity Junkie and was assigned Tesla. She's young, cute and energetic, but dont let her youth fool you. She's amazingly talented. Hair is her passion, and she shows it with her intuitive and creative skills. The result was a hair cut and color more beautiful than I could have imagined. I wont be able to go back to her, as I am about to move out of state. So do me a favor and get your hair done by Tesla for me.

Tasia rocks the locks!. This salon achieves the perfect balance of professional service and comfort, in a glamorous, unsnooty way. They carry Redken and Pureology products, both of which I totally heart. They have a kickass garage door they can open to the sidewalk when the weather is nice.

But honestly, the best thing about this place is my stylist, Tasia. She is the cutest freaking rocker there is. She doesn't play roller derby, but she could. She takes time to really listen how I want my hair, and always cuts and colors with unmatched skill.

Call and make an appointment with Tasia, you won't be disappointed!

Search No Further. My first wax experience was great. No waiting even though the place looked packed. Friendly and good conversation to keep my mind off the discomfort of a full leg wax. Very professional with a relaxed vibe. Thanks Jenny.

Great salon without the "we're too hip for you" attitude. Tesla Rocks! and not in a bad 80s hair band kind of way...

I read all about Vanity Junkie on Citysearch (along with many other salons) and decided to give it a try. I typically go to local schools (Aveda and Paul Mitchell) for services as I don't get to riled up about salons in general. I wanted a new look and wasn't sure what it was exactly, just something different than I usually have. I walked into VJ was welcomed and waited for my appt on a comfy couch. Tesla greeted me and took time to discuss what we should do to change my look, she had a lot of good ideas. Her skills and personality made the appt fun and time flew. Now I have a great style that works for when I let my unruly wavy hair do its thing and can be sleekly styled with a flat iron. I will be back to see them! You should go too for a welcoming and fun salon experience without all the "we're too hip and cool for you" attitude of salons in the Pearl or downtown...

Next time I am asking about the Bar mentioned in other review as I missed it this time...

A wax I'll go back to. I've had my fair share of unfavorable waxing and facial experiences, until I visited Jenny at Vanity Junkie. Not only was it clear that Jenny knows her stuff, but she also understands the importance of listening to her clients, educating them on best practices and providing excellent product knowledge. I was also pleased to see that she understands how personal (and painful)waxing can be and that each individual handles it their own way. I can't wait until my next VJ visit!

Hot mama!. As a middle aged woman about to be a grandmother, it is wonderful to be called a hot mama. I give credit to Vanity Junkie. I have fine hair and am very picky about my cut and style. I have been going to VJ for three years and have never been disappointed. They keep me fresh and youthful. I get my brows done by Jenny, they look better than ever. My daughter and my friends also get their hair styled and brows waxed at VJ's. I highly recommend them for all services. I also appreciated that they give back to their community in many ways.
