Find myself having to post yet another Islands Tanning & Nails complaint. My 17 year old daughter was told to "lie about her age" and sign a contract for a better deal with the promise that she
could cancel at any time. She informed the employee that she was visiting from out of state, so a long term contract was not a benefit to her. All he saw was the opportunity to make more money and possibly win an ugly pair of jeans. They refuse to all staff to give out contact info. for management to customer's and hope you'll simply get tired of fighting. Do what we did and contact the BBB, it's the only way they'll learn to follow the law.
If you're a current or former employee, I'd report these bad business practices as I've encouraged some of you to do recently.…
Too good to be true!!!!. I have been tanning at islands tanning since they opened and I LOVE it. The sales people are always in a good mood and definitely make it obvious that they are there to satisfy YOU. I have been tanning for a long time and can honestly say that you can't find better beds anywhere other than Islands Tanning. They also have a ton of other locations around so if I need to tan but i'm not in town, there's always one close by.…

Money suckers. Commission payed employees. Greedy owner.
Purchased a large tanning package and mystics. Wanted a card on file and refused to do so, wanted to pay cash. When I was out of minutes and had 2 mystic sessions left, they threw a fit and were so rude that I didn't want more (bad service, streaky mystics, beds with worn bulbs, so called "high pressure" beds that they can't afford to maintain). So they were pressuring me, said I could CALL MY DAD AND GET HIS CREDIT CARD INFORMATION to run for a new package. I have my own job thank you very much, and I'll be taking my services and money to TAN REPUBLIC to actually get a tan and not burn my skin or burst the capillaries in my skin thank you very much!
ISLANDS ARE SCAMMERS, DON'T OFFER HIGH END BEDS, DON'T CLEAN THEM, AND DON'T OFFER NAIL SERVICE (it's been years on that one!!)…
