Comfortable high qualtiy bar. Great people, and knowledged people. Easy to drop by for alone, couple, friends, really anyone! Wide range selection of alcoholic beverages, and great selection of quality sake from various parts of Japan, and Oregon. Welcoming, relax feeling in the bar. Wish it is in my neigborhood. Stroll in, or great destination.

Portand's own Izakaya! Love it.. Very relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere to drink some of the finest sake around including the killer local juice from SakeOne brewed just west of Portland. Great sake flight offerings and overall selection offered by the bottle or pitchers. Knowledgable staff who could answer our questions. Good food with a traditional izakaya bent. Creative saketinis and if you must there are other drink options.

Sake purists will be in heaven hanging out here and newbies need not be timid as the staff and selection will make your sake exploration go easy and be fun.

Check Zilla out and bring friends. It makes me wish I lived in the neighborhood but definitely makes me want to go back as often as possible.

Sake Heaven on Alberta. Zilla Sake House is a must visit. The sake selection is second to none. Best in Portland. They have a wonderful selection of sake including all price ranges. Our group loved the samplers. We were not sure what to order but the entire staff are sake experts and they guided us to sake that worked extremely well for all of us. The samplers allowed us to try various sake. We ordered more of the sake we each fell in love with. Allowe the owner, was extremely helpful and fun to hang out with.

The food was very good and worked very well with our sake. The spicy ika and miso soup were very good. I loved the sake menu. It was extremely infomative and fun to read. For those who would rather ask the staff - no problem....they know their stuff.

They also carry wine and beer as well as a fully stocked bar.

We had such a good time. We have been there a couple of times including on a Sun night when they show Classic Japanese flicks.

Zilla is a gem Portland is lucky to have. Zilla helps make Alberta Street and Portland the reason we all love to live here! Check it out!
