Jeff Davidson gives me a fantastic, sexy, layered cut for my medium-long hair that I can actually style at home! (I have a 2 year old and don't have a lot of extra time to spend styling at home.) It might be his pedigree - being a Vidal Sassoon-trained stylist that gives him this precision cut edge. We moved here 3 months ago and he was the only person in Portland who I could find who trained at VS and I knew that it would be a great start. He also does a really nice job with my color and pays special attention to the areas around my face. He is easy-going and can effortlessly chat or give me space to get stuff done on my iPad. Love my hair and my stylist!- Well worth the 30 minute drive from Lake Oswego!

Tadimdia at Tribe is the BEST!. I've gone to alot of colorists and then I found Tadimida about 5 years ago and am so glad!! She totally gets what I want and I'm always so happy with my hair!! I get so many compliments after every appointment with her!! Aside from being super talented with color and styling she's also super fun to chat with everytime! I so look forward to my appt's and getting to catch up with her. Try her out, you will be so happy you did!!

Found my hairstyling Match with Micah. Though I never know what I want done to my hair when I walk into the Salon, I always feel beautiful, pampered and confident when I walk out. Micah is a fabulous stylist who is very gifted in the area of hair design. She doesn't just know how to cut hair, but she knows how to give you style, elegance, and the best look for You!

She is cutting edge in her hair cutting techniques, and also is very knowledgeable in coloring, and how to match coloring you may have gotten done somewhere else.

Give her a try today...you'll be hooked!

Danielle and The Tribe are the best in the industry!. Danielle is the most talented stylist I have ever been to. I always leave the salon feeling so good about my experience in her chair. I trust her to do anything with my hair. She always gives me the most beautiful color and cuts I have ever had! I recommend Danielle 110%!

Nervous?...Just ask for Micah!. I have been getting my hair cut from Micah for the past 2 years, and I always leave feeling more beautiful and confident than before!

I am one who has a hard time expressing in detail how I want my hair done(sometimes I don't even know), but with Micah I never have to worry; it always turns out great. I think you will agree that her positive attitude, care, jovial spirit, and sincere thoughtfulness are a great added bonus. PLUS, she gives one killer head massage!!! (Note: "killer" is not being used literally)

I would highly recommend Micah to anyone.

Micah-Fabulous hair cuts and color!. Micah has been doing my hair for years and I can honestly say that I keep getting compliment after compliment after compliment on her work with my hair--both cuts and color. Yesterday I saw someone in town I hadn't seen for awhile and first thing---they complimented me on my hair and how it has never looked better! She does trendy stuff and yet keeps in mind my face shape and coloring. She also has just a fabulous personality and a great ability to be genuinely interested in people and show it! I highly recommend her!

Micah the Magnificent!. One of my good friends who lives in Oregon has been getting her hair done by Micah, who works at Tribe. I came up from CA to visit this friend and we decided it would be a great idea for me to get my hair done by her.

Turns out it really was a GREAT idea.

I told her I wanted it to be easy to do my hair in the mornings (not a lot of prep time) and that I was nervous to cut it super short, but other than that, she could do what she wanted.

She cut off a few inches, taking into consideration my face shape and hair type. I have NEVER had such a wonderful hair cut. It took me a few days to decide what to do with it every morning, but now I've got it down. I have gotten so many compliments I don't know what to do with myself. I've heard it's "becoming, sassy, classy, professional, cute..." the list goes on.

THANKS SO MUCH TO MICAH!!!

Jeff's not advertised enough for greatness!. I'm sure everyone else says this but I usually don't write reviews. However, I am writing this for all those ladies out there that had the same long dreadful experience of finding a great hairdresser that knows how to cut hair and not just color. Jeff truly gave me the best haircut I have had in the 17 yrs I've lived in Portland. After about 50 different stylists, i had settled on a pretty good one for about the past 5 years and also paid close to $100 per haircut. Then i decided to give Jeff a try mainly due to his credentials and I am SOOOO glad I did! Not only is he one of the nicest people I've met but he truly gave me a haircut that looks as good at home as it did in the salon. I don't remember the last time I was able to jump out of the shower and have my hair fall perfectly back into place. More importantly, he makes sure to cut your hair according to what flatters your face best. I look like I lost about 10 lbs after his haircut. i have not had him color my hair yet but after the fantastic job he did with the cut, and the ideas he gave me for my hair color, I can't wait to get back in so he can fix my haircolor from a previous dye job. Thank god Jeff decided to move to Portland. He gives a celebrity cut for the average person's price (cost less than my last stylist!). We are all lucky he's actually in Portland and not charging a fortune. Thanks Jeff. I've never had hair this good and I'm extremely picky.

Best Haircut in Years!. Danielle at Tribe did an amazing job cutting and coloring my hair. She spent a lot of time making sure the color was perfect and even had me come back to finish my cut because I had to run to class. It looked great to me before I left, but I came back and she added nice texture. She's awesome at cutting bangs too! I am usually very anxious when I get my hair done and I didn't have any worries at all when I was at Tribe.

Danielle Despain is the Best Stylist at Tribe!!!!. My hair cut & color experience with Danielle Despain was by far the most satsifying and memorable appointment that I have ever been to. She is not only professional and actually listens to what I'm looking for, but she creates a coif that is by far unparalled in aesthetics. I have very unruly hair: cow-licks and extra hair patches. Danielle was able to make my hair look great and was able to get my hair the color I wanted in the first try. I have had horror stories with stylists in the past that have butchered my hair and burned my scalp from the color treatments. However, I am very pleased with Danielle's talented hands and color matching ability. I can say that I have found my lifetime hairstylist and that I will definitely be going back to her soon! She recommended I use Bumble & Bumble Sumo Tech pomade and the Bumble & Bumble Seaweed shampoo and conditioner and I am very satisified with these products! I will be buying them again! Tribe is located in northwest Portland on the corner of NW 19th & Pettygrove. I suggest you try out Danielle if your man or woman, looking for a simple hair-cut or specific style or color. She is phenomenal! :)
