Tips for Oregon's Grand Salon Spa

I have known Donna for several years now and would never consider going to anyone else to get my eyebrows tattooed! And if I were to decide I'd like to get permanent eyeliner or even have lip liner done, she would definitely be the person I'd go to. Donna does such a beautiful job and I trust her completely. She is an expert in permanent cosmetics, takes great pride in her work, and would never steer you wrong. She had a "grand" dream of owning her own salon and has made that dream come true! If being pampered is your dream, call the Grand SalonSpa!

I've been going to Donna for years to get my brows waxed. I have tricky brows that grow every which way. It is astonishing how beautifully she shapes them, PERFECT every single time. I've tried out dozens of people trying to get nicely shaped brows, and no one has ever come close. I've gotten hair cuts and facials at the salon spa as well and have walked away loving every experience.

First let me say, the facial and esthetician giving the facial was WONDERFUL! I'd go back to her again for sure! I called ahead to make sure they took SpaFinder gift cards, the woman assured me that they did. I arrived but they couldn't check me in because of computer problems. The check in process was unnecessarily slow which delayed the start of the facial. There was a sign asking customers to whisper, due to the relaxing nature of the spa's services- during the facial I could hear the staff talking loudly however.

I went to pay and the receptionist tells me I can only use one Spa Finder card (I had 3, each for $25). This was not clear in anything written that I saw, nor did the woman I book with tell me this. So I had to pay $50 out of pocket. I asked about using the cards on product but she told me they were only good for services (this was also not printed anywhere). On the back of the Spa Finder gift cards it says they can be used for products or services.

I feel bad for the esthetician because she's lost my business due to the front desk people- I certainly did not feel like a valued customer.

Horrible Shellac manicure! I wanted to treat myself to the Deluxe Manicure and try out the Shellac polish. I called to make an appointment, explained to the receptionist what I wanted, and was able to book for the same day. It was a sunny day, and I was made to feel like I was the only thing in the way of my nail technician leaving for the day. I was immediately told that I could not do the Deluxe Manicure with the Shellac polish, so I just did the basic manicure and added the Shellac polish. The nail shaping was horrible, the gal made my cuticles bleed, and she scratched the surface of my nails with her nail file to help the polish adhere (I have since been advised by other nail technicians that this should not have been done). On top of all of this, the polish application was incredibly sloppy. Even worse - because she roughed up my nails, the removal of the Shellac after 2 weeks was a nightmare. I will never return.

Be careful when you schedule! We had 4 people for body wraps scheduled but when we walked in it was "oh, sorry! We dont show you". I had called several times because they were going to have an extra tech come in to handle us 2 by 2. When we showed up they acted like we were in the wrong place unitl I started to desrcibe their wraps; then they just shrugged - "oh, well - sucks to be you" attitude.

Not once did they attempt to show they cared or tried to make things right. It was an "oops!" attitude and "there's the door".

Go to any other spa - you'll instantly get better service than this place. "Grand" needs to be changed to "Lousy" and they should fire the girl at the front desk!

Oregon's Finest. Stephen is the greatest hairstylest you will ever meet! I did a very horrible color job on my own that I thought that I wouldn't be able to fix and was suggested to see stephen by my sister. He did such an amazing job not only did he fix my disaster of a color but I walked out looking better than I expected. He is a great listener and I can say that I will come back from here on out. THANK YOU STEPHEN!

Awesome Manis/Pedis!. I have been going to Heidi at Oregon's Grand SalonSpa for 2 years now, and she always does a phenomenal job. She is always very pleasant and personable and her work is exquisite. I definitely recommend the Shellac manicure.........it lasts at least 2 weeks without chipping, peeling or fading.

Brides Beware. I scheduled an appointment for my bridal party to have our hair done on the day of my wedding and was assured it would take 2 hours with 2 stylists. When we arrived on time, only one stylist was present and we were told the other "lives far away and will be late." When the second stylist showed up, 40 minutes past our appointment time, he announced that he "doesn't do up-do hairstyles." So one stylist was in charge of the 4 people in the bridal party and the promised 2 hour appointment took 3 hours and 45 minutes. This put the entire day behind schedule, added additional stress and made it so we weren't able to take as many pictures as we would have liked. Each hairstyle cost $60, though 3 out of 4 bridal party members had to re-curl and re-pin their hair once we got to the venue because the styles were already falling apart. The quality of the service did not match the high price. After the wedding, I went back to the salon and spoke with the owner/manager about my negative experience. She let me know that "we don't typically take on bridal parties because they are nearly impossible to make happy" and "usually we charge $120 per bridal style." She was not apologetic and spoke to me as if I was a high maintenance bride. Overall, I found my experience at Oregon's Grand SalonSpa to be unprofessional, overpriced and low quality.

After move not so good. I've been going to Oregon's Grand Salon Spa for a while and I loved their old location. After they moved to their new location I found out that the hairdresser that always did my hair moved away. He was awesome so I figured I'd give someone else a try. I showed this guy a picture and he didn't make my hair look anything like it. I kept telling him I want more cut off but he wouldn't because he thought it wouldn't look good. After he actually cut some off he commented "oh it actually does look good". It seemed like he was too worried about cutting my hair. I'm not going back because I walked out with hair all over my neck, down my shirt, and even on my legs. The cut turned out ok although not what I wanted. They say you're supposed to be able to walk out of the hairdressers and go out to dinner or something... well I wanted to go take a shower.

FULL SERVICE, LUXE DECOR; AFFORDABLE!. I had been driving to the east side for more than 2 yrs to follow my previous hair dresser and I was loathe to leave her. I needed to find the same attention to detail, someone who would listen to what I wanted, and an atmosphere that allowed me to relax and be pampered. I am happy to say that Grand Salon & Spa is THE place for that!

I was fortunate enough to have Stephen M. cut my hair. He listened to everything I said, and with his many years of experience he delivered exactly what I wanted.

I have been back for facials, and I am looking forward to trying other services. This will be easy bc the Salon sends email offers to clients all the time! With these offers my girlfriends and I have been introduced to the high quality, super affordable pampering available within a 20 min drive of the house!

GO CHECK THEM OUT!
