Small Sports Bar, friendly with great specials!.
A refurbished neighborhood style sport restaurant/bar with some very good food. The place is fun, small, and a bit odd shaped, but has a great outside seating area for a small group (probably about
16-20 tops). The wait staff is friendly and make you feel welcome. I would suspect the place could be a bit noisy if it were crowded just because of its size. The menu had a reasonably good selection of small bar type food; burgers, a couple of soups, daily specials, and that sort of thing. This is an adult place and has reasonable access for wheelchairs.
I have stopped by a few times. Once to meet some friends for breakfast on a Saturday (their choice of place not mine, but I was pleasantly surprised). The Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs was very tasty. The second time I stopped I was headed to who knows where, but I was starving; had the Daily Taco Special, it was good too. Just recently, I had to meet a friend for some business and the Hide Away was convenient. We shared a Chicken Gizzards Appetizer, and I had the Fish and Chips. The Fish and Chips was okay (I've had better), but the Chicken Gizzards were great, and lots of them (enough to feed 3-4 snacking folks).
If you're in the area of SW 185th and TV Hwy this place is worth a try. It's clean, friendly, and well priced. If you're out and about, what more could you ask for?…
