Portland >Healthy Nails and Spa
Love this place!!. My partner and I went to Healthy Nails and Spa for the first time on our anniversary last year. They were so sweet and welcoming. We got the deluxe pedi for 35.00 and it was well worth every penny. Great massage, nice massage chairs, and they gave us each two glasses of wine. Every time we have been there since they remember our names and always like to talk us into spending a little extra time to get our toenails fancied up. I don't usually get toenail polish topped with flowers, jewels and bamboo, but they are so sweet they talk me into it. If you are looking for a non pretentious very reasonably priced nail salon check them out. We are taking some friends there today to start up the bachelorette party and I am sure it will be fantastic.
so glad they are near my house. Great price, great service, friendly, I can always get an appointment when I want. They also give you a free glass of wine, which I really enjoy! Luann in particular is wonderful.
Very good shellac manicures. This is an excellent place for shellac manicures. I live in Damascus, and work in Beaverton. I have a place on Barrows Road I use when I'm on the west side, and I was looking for a good place on the east side. Very happy to have found this place in Sellwood. The salon isn't super fancy, but it is clean and the atmosphere is relaxing. My shellac manicure lasts 2 solid weeks ... unlike the place I had been using on Sunnyside road. Their pedicures are also very good, and last a long time, as a good pedicure should. Oh, and the glass of wine, when I am in the mood, is a nice offering. I have taken my daughter here for a kids mani/pedi, and they give her strawberry lemonade, and a special pink seat back/cushion that enables her feet to reach the pedicure bowl. Very sweet. The only reason I give this place 4 stars is for the atmosphere, as it isn't terribly luxe. But for the very reasonable prices they charge, one really can't complain!
Best pedicure. I had the best foot massage during my pedi. They even gave me an hand/arm massage as well. The glass of wine wasn't so bad either!! I will recommend this place to anyone.
Had A Great Time.
I went there for my first (deluxe) mani-pedi a few weeks ago. It was super clean and the service was great. They gave me free water and the foot soak was very nice. The foot massage felt soothing and so did the hand massage. My nails look great and they really too their time. They even gave me flowers with gems in the middle.
It was the nicest job I've ever had.
awesome nail salon in Sellwood.
Would you like a super clean, awesome nail and waxing place where you feel at home?
This is what this salon does for me and so many more!
It is the cleanest, nicest salon in Sellwood. The staff is awesome and friendly. Helen, Luanne, Holly and Henry are the best...and if you are fortunate enough to meet Luanne you will know the meaning of "having your heart melt"; She is the cutest little thing in the world!!
Everyone I have recommended loves it! They're prices are super reasonable!
So I can go on and on but why say anymore! Go try it for yourself then you come back here and write your own!
You'll love it!!
Nice place, nice people.
I do not usually take the time to write a review but I thought I would this time because I was so pleased I wanted to take the time to post this. Usually i just never feel totally satisfied when I leave a salon but this time I was. Yes it surprised me. I think mainly I just felt they actually listened and everyone was so nice. I left feeling like like they actually did what i asked and I was expecting to pay more. I will be back, Hey do I get extra points for leaving this review...just kidding. Oh, I almost forgot to give credit, Henry did my solar nails and Helen did my pedicure.
Great job, salon is clean and sanitary.
Not so awesome. 8/20/2010 - this is an update to my previous review. I couldn't remove the pros and cons from my last review, so the pro that listed previous is no longer applicable since I had to wait at this visit. I didn't have the same great experience as some of the reviewers posted. The service wasn't that great. I had to wait for 30 minutes even though I had an appointment. They kept on apologized for the wait. But so what, they should respect other people's time and not take too many appointments. After I was seated, they just rushed through the work and my pedicures didn't turn out as nice as I had at other salon. The price is expensive for a one week pedicure.
Perfect for the tired moms!.
I have been getting mani/pedis from Luanne for over 2 years. She is fabulous! A skilled nail tech and sweetheart of a woman! She is so kind and gives me my manicure in the spa chair so I can rest or even get a quick nap ... a real treat for this mom of twin toddlers!!
it's also super handy that they're open on Sundays too!
The salon is clean, cute,
New Owner. Unfortunately the last three reviews were outdated. Fancy Nails is now owned by a new owner. I used to visit Fancy Nails every month for a period of time until last year where I have moved out of area. I recently moved back and looked forward to a medicure and pedicure and decided to visit my old favorite place. The tech that worked on my med & ped was Luanne. I think she is the owner since she was trying to advertise/marketing her skills and services. Her work on my med & ped wasn't too impressive...not detail enough. The salon is a bit run down, the tub spa is quite dirty/unsanitary. The pros about this business is that you don't have to make appointment and no wait...but that might explain why there wasn't a wait. Hope she can clean up the tub and the place and I will try back later.
