Sheryl and I am the owner of the shop. We do not consider it necessary to have a portfolio of our piercings. We do not do any peircings that we consider detrimental to the client. It is all pretty much main stream and we all know what they look like so why have a portfolio? I just had a client walk in and want a horizontal lip pierce on the bottom lip. I could have done the piercing and she would be happy for a short time but i believe that the piercing would soon reject to the surface as she moved her lip and smiled. I can't bear the thought of a horrible scar on her lip. So, yes i do have ethics.

As for the other pipe comment, yes we do sell glass tobacco pipes and have for many years. Personally, I do not smoke or even drink alcohol and never have. I try not to judge others but some of my staff may occasionally smoke cigarettes during their breaks but they wash their hands and faces after wards. We are a family friendly shop and try very hard to create a nice,clean environment.

look at the facts. you ever wonder why a shop would not post photos or a link to their portfolio? Or why "the best piercing shop in portland" (which seems to be in troutdale by the way,) Would have huge displays of pipes and bongs? or better yet their artist and piercers smell strangely like burning "weed" Their work speaks for itself that's why its bad enough that they know better that to post it, or even better why the majority of the 5 star reviews are written by the owners or their family? Check portfolios and the professionalism of your artist before you get work from anyone, and check several places first, because if this is the first and only place you go to to get permanent marks on your body you will regret it, I know this from personal experience and the experiences of others that have been harmed by these people

Never Again!. - Horrible customer service.

- Unprofessional.

- Poor work.

Had my tragus done here at Troutdale Body Piercing & Tattoo by Chris Wheeler and I was not impressed one bit. He rushed the piercing and the aftercare.The jewelry he put in was an externally threaded curved barbell of which I've had the beads fall off many times. The placement of the piercing is off and the hole done at an angle. I will never go back to them again.

There are many better options out there for us. Stay clear of these guys!

troudale tattoo. So i was really excited to go to this place after reading all of the great reviews it had, so i decided to get my nipples pierced there last night. was kinda taken back by the lack of customer service skills the two workers had. The girl only awnsered my questions with basic reponses and the guy piercing me was no better, i was terrified to get my nipples pierced and niether one tried to be personable. I felt the place was a wham, bam, thank you ma'me type of place. dont know bout everyone else but when i go in and spend 60$ on piercing then 15 on extras i would like to feel that they appreiciate my bussiness a little more.

Troutdale Tattoo - Serving the Portland Tattoo Scene. There is no other shop that I have ever been to that appreciates their customers as much as this shop. They truly are an institution! They go above and beyond for their customers and love everyone. I suggest you take a look at their website and leave a comment there for them if you have any feedback or questions. Portfolio???. Is it me or is a piercing portfolio from this place

impossible to find..nothing on facebook..nothing on myspace..nothing even on their website..HMMM kinda makes me wonder!

Love my tattoo!!. I have had my ears pierced several times at Troutdale Tattoo and have had jewelry custom made too. I have always been impressed with the owner and most recently Kent. Kent covered up a tattoo for me and I was very impressed with his work and patience. He got the drawing of the tattoo just right and went back several times to make changes for me. I am so happy with my new tattoo and have no plans of ever covering this one up!! He did a touch up for me at no cost. The price I paid for the cover up was not enough for his professional and amazing work.

As far as tattoos go.... I know that Kent has gotten a lot of praise in the past reviews and to be quite honest, it's well deserved. I came in for one tattoo and we got to discussing future tattoos. I brought in a general design of what I wanted, we discussed a couple of ideas and he spent many long hours coming up with a custom design that more than took my breath away. It has quickly become my favorite tattoo, as I have many... and I've been stopped on the street or in the store more times than I can count because people want to know who did it. Kent is real, and honest (and VERY quiet) and he's not cocky or arrogant or just a flat out a**hole like most other tattoo artists are. I appreciate what he's done for me.... and I appreciate even more that he didn't make me go broke doing it. I've never had someone so reasonable before. So as far as the tattooing goes... I'd recommend him anyday.

Comfortable and Respectable. I love this place! Kent has done all four of my tattoos and I've only had to have one touched up after two years! He does wonderful work and they always heal beautifully. He also does exactly what I'm looking for. He doesn't try to change it unless he's trying to clean it up by making the drawing sharper; truly an amazing artist. I've gotten almost all of my friends to go to him and they are always, always impressed.He's a very fair price too!
