We have been going to CAVA since it opened. It used to be good, now there is no other word to describe it but horrible. First off the bartender, "owner" is the worst bartender in town. The drinks are made sub-par and his service is, well, he is just condescending and can't mix! The food has gone down hill also. It used to be fresh and tastey, now it's bland and flat. You would think the desserts would still be a winner but unfortunately these too have gone to the way side. You either get WAY too sweet or no flavor. What is going on people? Get it together. We will not be going back, we gave them several tries and it is just not worth it. Don't waste your time, go to Toast on 52nd and Steele or Arleta Cafe on 72nd and Harold for your nieghborhood joint.
Pros: The pros were there when they open now they are all gone
Cons: bartender slash owner and the desserts and food

A friend and I sat at the bar and had a few appetizers and wine. The mushroom bruschetta was bountiful wild mushrooms in a well-balanced light cream sauce, shaved hard cheese, on perfectly toasted but still soft bread. I really haven't had anything that good in a long time. The warm greens salad was also spectacular with good olive oil, pancetta?, croutons. The bartender found me a perfect white wine. I felt almost weepy with the marriage of flavors. Really comfortable atmosphere too. Keep up the good work!
Pros: quality, flavors, ambience
Cons: None so far
