Excellent, fresh sushi. I am so happy this place opened up so close to my house. I LOVE their sushi--I go there at least once a week, often times more! Happy hour is amazing...$1 a plate; can't beat that.

Basically I love this place and always take my friends here. Highly recommended.

Best Sushi Happy hour. $1 per plate with purchase of a drink, and Iced Tea is ok, and its only $1.50. The plates are not only one piece , but a few, depending on what it is, Im a finicky Sushi Eater, I don't know what I like, but this is the best way to try new things, if you didnt like it, your out a buck! I found most things i liked, plus they had a picture guide of what things were. Try it out, you migh like it. Happy Hour is 6 to close Mon-Thurs.

Great Sushi!!!. My husband and 2 1/2 year old daughter regularly dine at this restaurant at least once and sometimes twice a week. The food is always very fresh and there is always a well rounded selection. I also recommend this spot for those with children because they also offer items that are easy for children like edamame, fruit bowls and sliced cucumber. I consider this one of the best sushi restaurants in the NE Portland/Vancouver area.

Great Cali rolls. Their California rolls were great. I've read some pretty bad reviews of the place and don't know what to make of them since I've only had take-out twice, and only ordered California rolls. I can say that the service was fast. the place was clean and the staff was cordial. I'll go back.

mid afternoon let down. We went after a day of shopping for a late lunch. My partner and I were disappointed in the variety of Sushi. We thought most of it had been left out too long. We got little attention from the wait staff even though, there were few customers. What I didn't like the most was the fact that a place called Hot Pot'n Sushi only had medicore Ramen and Udon that you would get in any Sushi go.

Happy hour is Happy. HotPot 'N Sushi is one of several track-sushi restaurants in the Portland Area. It is conveniently located in NE Portland just off of I-205 (or accessible by MAX at Cascades Station) near the Portland Airport.

I went to Happy Hour at 7PM on a Monday night. Happy Hour is advertised 6PM to close, with $1 dish specials after purchase of regular priced drink (sorry, no alcohol).

First impressions were that the establishment was overworked and understaffed. The dining room was busy but not packed. My date and I waited 10 minutes for a clean table, less than 3 minutes for drinks, and 10 minutes for our check. The waitstaff and manager were friendly and apologized profusely for the long waits.

The food and portions varied - typical sushi rolls, fried shrimp, tofu, vegetable platters and cream puffs. More expensive dishes could be ordered, but we did not try these. Everything was tasty and filling and there never seemed to be a shortage of any type of sushi on the track.

I would recommend this restaurant for happy hour or for a stop on the way home from shopping or the airport.
