Tips for Edible Arrangements

I can only hope my experience with this Edible Arrangements is not the norm because if it is, then they need to shut their doors. What is the point of ordering from a specialty shop like this if they cannot deliver it on the holiday requested? They were not prepared for Valentine's Day to be a busy holiday??

I went into this store on February 2, 2012 to place an order for Valentine's Day for my husband. I ordered a dozen chocolate dipped strawberries. I paid extra for the white swirl of chocolate over the strawberries. Then I hand picked the pot the strawberries would go in because I did not want it to appear too feminine. I also told the employee helping me that the delivery needed to be there BEFORE 4:30 pm. I asked if there was any way it could not be delivered and she assured me that it would arrive on Valentine's Day. The whole reason I asked is because I could have driven to the store and picked them up myself. My husband NEVER received these strawberries, and when I went to the store the next morning, the order was STILL not on the delivery truck and the ONLY excuse given was, "We were busy yesterday!" REALLY? Of course you were. It was Valentine's Day. This is appalling to me. There is no excuse for this, and I will never use them again.

Best Gift Idea. This place is super professional. Delivery on time. Beautiful arrangement that brought oooh's and aaahhhs from everyone! Best gift to give a girlfriend who is dieting and doesn't appreciate cake, and is allergic to flowers! Flower arrangements are so predictible, but not these, they are breathtakingly beautiful, and the fruit is so sweet and deliciuos! Chocolate dipped strawberries are my favorite!

Order arrived 6 HOURS LATE!. Ridiculous "business." We had a birthday party planned for an employee and ordered that the arrangement be delivered at 10am. It finally arrived at 4pm. We rejected the order because said employee had already left for the day. The delivery person had no excuse for such tardiness and offered no coupon, compensation or the order itself. She took it and left quite rudely. It was also EXTREMELY overpriced. $102 for a small arrangement and delivery.

Editorial Review. Send fruit that is tastefully arranged in a flower bouquet to that special someone from Portland's Edible Arrangements.
