What People Are Saying About Lincoln

In Short – Filling the corner of the renovated warehouse space known as the Hub building, Lincoln boasts a marriage of old and new with concrete floors, exposed wood trusses, local art, and rolling garage doors that bring the outside in on warmer nights. The setting sets the stage for simply styled, honest dishes to shine. Starters might include vegetable bagna cauda, followed by a familiar hanger steak served with rich anchovy butter and cornmeal onion rings. Accompanying such dishes are wines with an international focus and cocktails that give a nod toward old classics.
Great atmosphere, average food.

We ate at Lincoln on Friday night. The ambience is wonderful, very warm and pretty with subtle lighting. The seats comfortable and the acoustics are good, we were able to carry on a conversation without screaming to be heard. Our waitress was nice but uninspired, she may have simply been tired that night. The food was good. We had the special appetizer of squab. It was awesome. I had the hanger steak which was good but nothing special. The onion rings were yummy and crunchy, loved them. My boyfriend had the lamb which was good, but again nothing spectacular It was served with polenta which I like it but there wasn't anything to dress it up, just a pile of polenta. I suppose I would try it again just to see if maybe the specials are more interesting. They offered 2 special the night we were there and maybe those might have more pizzazz. The food was good just uninteresting. Their sauces are definitely their strong suit. Since it is my neighborhood and I want it to be successful, I will try again. The cocktails were delightful.

5 Stars because it is by far one of my favorite places to eat in Portland!!
I live in Beaverton and will make the drive to N Portland just for the how great the food is!!
We love Lincoln!!! Everyone we have ever brought with us to dinner has loved it to. I had to write a review after our last dinner there because it was so great. Our food was so amazing!! We all had the steak with the onion rings to die for, but our friend ordered that chicken and it was so delicious. Our appetizer was great and drink were fabulous.
But I think that just as good as the food was, the staff was just as great. Everyone who we interacted with was so polite, friendly, smiled, and took awesome care of us. I wanted you to know because as owners of our business we often worry about what is going on when we are out of town and I wanted you guys to know that we had such a fantastic experience Friday night when you were in New York. Everything is great about your restaurant and we just wanted to let you know how much we love eating at Lincoln!!
- Pros: Great for groups and perfect for a dinner date!
- Cons: A little challenging for parking sometimes.

We had dinner here on Saturday (V-Day) and had a great evening. The service was great, the food was delicious and the restaurant is beautiful. It was a great evening. I don't understand why anyone would question the value. For my money, it was a great value! We will certainly be back.
- Pros: Food, Service, atmosphere
- Cons: None
