Good bagels, but NOT worth the wait or service.
I like the bagels, especially how much cream cheese they cake on (some people don't like how much they much they put on though).
The wait time to get a bagel is laughable. Expect to wait 5-10min for one bagel (Starbucks is usually 30 seconds - 1min. from the time you order).
The service is lousy too. They really don't pay much attention to you. They just throw your bagel up on the counter and say your name. A lot of times the order is wrong, or someone else grabbed yours.
Instead of working through problems, they would rather just offer you a refund and you leave empty-handed.

Amazing! Finally, a delicious bagel place in Portland/.
I have been searching the entire Northwest for a good bagel and good cream cheese and have come up short every time. Until Now. I love you Kettlemen's bagels. If you think that Noah's bagels are good, I'm sorry, you are sadly mistaken. Go to Kettlemen's if you want an actual New York style bagel. And the spreads are just as good. The service was efficient and friendly. There are a mass of books you can read, or just sit an enjoy the people watching.
I will shout from the mountaintop that the only thing Portland has been missing is finally here. That thing is a yummy bagel place that serves New York bagels. Thank you Kettlemen's.

In a clean-lined space bordered by a wall mural of Portland, the Northwest outpost of this popular bagel shop exudes a coffee house vibe. For purists, shiny, dense bagels come in a range of flavors from sesame seed to sun dried tomato.
