disappointed with the visit.. I took my partner to this nail salon to celebrate. I thought that we would have a nice pedi treatment together and look over at the river while enjoying good service. The technicians were okay. Their skil level was not much better than the Aveda beauty school's beauty clinic. We did not get to sit in a throne with pedicure jet tubs, rather a seat on a poorly constructed black piece of wood and as they poured hot water with pink detergent into a plastic tub. My toes were not cleaned well nor was the color good. I was embarrassed to have made the appointment there. The price was way too high for the end result. It was nice to be on the river surrounded by all the pink but that was it. Thank goodness they are in a good location otherwise, not so good of a place to get good treatments. Not going back.

Do not recommend. We purchased two certificates from Groupon, each for a mani & pedi colada. I called weeks ahead to inquire and they said to call them when we were ready to make a reservation. When we called to book it, they were no longer available. Instead of extending the certificates (offering us a date in the future), they are not honoring them and have not returned my two calls to talk with management. Their response was that they would offer 50% of the value at a later date. Since we didn't get what we paid for, I cannot recommend this salon to anyone.

Very stuck up. I called on Sunday and left a message to make an appointment for mani's and pedi's for myself and my bridal party. By Tuesday, after receiving no phone calls, I called again. The person on the line said "she did not know how to do it" and would need help from her manager, who was out for lunch. She took my number and said she would call back. After a couple of hours I called back again, and this time she said she was busy booking other clients and would call me by the end of the business day. She assured me I would get the date that I wanted for my bridal party. She also said she would need to know specifically how many would be getting mani's and how many would be getting pedi's, because just booking for the 8 of us not enough. I never got a call back. On wednseday, I called again. For that day, they would have 2 people for the 8 of us, and said that if would take around 4.5 hours before all of us would be done! I said no thank you, called up Midas Nail Spa on NW 23rd, and in 2 hassle-free minutes made the appointments that I requested. After reading these reviews I'm very happy with my decision!

My Favorite Pedi Place. This is my favorite place to get a pedi in Portland. For $35 you can get a spa quality pedicure while sipping wine and enjoying a beautiful view. Ashley B. is by far the best but I've gotten good pedis from the other girls as well.

If you don't want to pay $50 - $60 at a spa but don't want to go to a mall this is the place to go.

They also frequently run awesome specials so it's rare I pay the full $35.

Highly recommended.

I'm happy and so are my girlfriends!. I bought a groupon mani pedi colada for myself and my two friends for Christmas. We have all been so busy, this weekend was the first chance we had to redeem our groupon. Since this was my Christmas present for my friends I realllllly wanted it to be nice and I had been nervous about what kind of treatment we would get as some of these reviews had me concerned about their level of customer service.

I was SO happy. Everything went swimmingly! It was a busy Saturday and almost all the stations were full but they catered to me and my friends right away. We even had a little girl with us waiting to get her own manicure and as there was no place for her they just pulled up a chair next to her mother for her.

None of us are regular 'salon' girls so this was a real treat! The decor was very stylish and pretty. The view of the Willamette River was wonderful! and sitting there having my toes done by Heidi and my back massaged by a wonderful massage chair was the first truly relaxing moment I had had all week.

I don't have very exciting nails (short and thin) but with the killer red color I chose Heidi made my hands and feet look like a million glossy bucks! And my girlfriends were all happy relaxed and proud of their new mani-pedis too!

The valet parking is great! and when I smudged one of my nails Heidi fixed it right away no problem.

It was a wonderful day I could not have asked for more attention to detail or a better job for my friends. I am very happy with my experience and am planning future visits!

Extremely disapointing!. I recently took my three daughters, one is 16 and two are 10, for a special outing at Pink and White nails and was extremely disappointed. After hearing all of the good reviews, we were looking forward to a fun, relaxing afternoon together. This was not what we experienced. We arrived a few minutes late for our appointments due to the valet being busy. Immediately after we walked in the door, the staff informed us that our services were going to be cut short and they would need to “shuffle us around”. One of my 10 year old daughters waited over 30 minutes before her services began. The staff never offered her a place to sit during this time. Whether it was due to the lack of a seating area or the fact that they did not care that she had to stand I could not tell. They even wanted to give the younger girls their pedicures on the floor until I insisted that they should sit in the pedicure chairs. When they finally allowed the younger girls to sit in pedicure chairs, their feet weren’t even put in the water. Only one of them got the “chocolate scented towels” that the website promised for the children’s pedicure. The website also stated that these would last fifteen minutes, a total of 30 minutes for a manicure and a pedicure. My girls’ manicure-pedicure barely exceeded 20 minutes total. The nail technician even had the audacity to yell at one of the girls to stop using the massage controls. They were much nicer to my 16-year-old daughter, and seem to be fonder of adult clientele rather than younger crowds. While we were being shoved out the door, I managed to mess up one of my nails attempting to pay them. My nail tech only offered to patch the nail with ANOTHER coat of paint, making my nails look lumpy and unattractive. When I then noticed that a fuzz had fallen in the polish, she just said "oh, you got fuzz in your polish!", and didn’t bother to take my polish off and re-do the nail. I was appalled at how rude the staff was to us, and especially the way they treated children. When a site advertises that they are “kid-friendly”, I would expect more patience and respect for kids. I would never recommend them to anyone after my experience. We would have had better services and been treated with kindness and respect not to mention paid half the price at the local salon down the street!

I will never go to another nail salon again!. I really fell in love with place. I received a group-on coupon from a friend of mine and we both got out nails done together as well as pedicures. Compared to the other places I've been, this place is by far is the best. My girlfriend and I spent our time talking and drinking wine while Heidi did my nails and another girl did my friends. We all laughed and joked the whole time. I just had another baby and never get out so this was a really cool escape to an area of town I've never been to. The only thing that would have been better would be a longer massage but considering my polish is still perfect, who can complain

Below average nail salon. If you get a cheap coupon to this place, then maybe entertain going here for a manicure and pedicure. Other than that...AVOID and stick to your inexpensive asian run nail salon. The girls here have such a "better than you" attitude and look like they are dressed to go out clubbing or something. They hardly pay any attention to you or what they are doing, your nails. They are looking out the window or barely talking to each other. They hardly pushed back my cuticles, rubbed my hands with almost no lotion (which didnt feel good at all!), and shaped and trimmed my nails without asking how I wanted them. When I said i prefered them shaped a different way, the girl I had copped an attitude.

When I got my pedicure, at the end something fell on one of my toes as I stood up and smeared my polish. My girl had already gone on to someone else and couldn't spend 5 seconds to fix it. That is service if you ask me!!

My advice, skip this place at all costs!

Amazing from start to finish!. Where to start? This place is awesome from start to finish. Walking in the door is a feast for the eyes and senses. From the pink decor to the crystal chandeliers it is a place you immediately feel pretty in. It is clean clean clean and the service is so amazing. Complimentary wine, champage or soft drinks greet you and the stations are cute and comfy...not like the standard asian-run salons that little or no thought go into.

I love the compliementary VALET parking at the River Place Hotel and speaking of river...that is the view you have while being pampered! So serene and refreshing. Even the music is great!

About the service...a 10 out of 10. The girls always greet you with a smile and Lisa, who does my nails, takes her work so seriously. A perfectionist and it shows. My nails are flawless every time and they last foreverrrrrr!

I love that I don't have to carry around those dumb plastic boxes with my personal files and buffers. They don't use the dremel to shape so you don't wind up with those ugly ridges below the acrylic surface. All hand done and it is a work of art. The products and techniques they use are top-notch with no skimping or cutting corners.

Whenever I go I always engage in some friendly conversation and frankly hate to leave! Danielle, the owner, is so super sweet and really makes you feel special. I love this place and would recommend it to anyone who wants to receive great service and be communicated to in English from the friendliest staff in town! You can't go wrong with Pink and White. It's dreamy!

Love It!. This Sunday being a day scheduled around couples me being single i wanted to just treat myself. So i called and was able to get in early in the morning. I was able to schedule quickly. The lady who answered the phone was very helpful and knew the services well. So i was able to get a appointment for Gel overlays with a cool gel color along with a pedi Colada with gel polish. This place was pink all over!! Catering to those who love to be pampered. The colada pedi was simple quick and sweet. I am not one to a lot of fluff so this pedi was great for me. The best part was being able to walk out of the salon with my shoes on. This gel polish things is Awesome! On the other hand my nails looked great as well. The lady who performed my service was quick. friendly and paid attention to what i really wanted. My nails are Great. Not only that but i actually received a 15% discount for being single. You have to love it when they actually focus on those who don't have to celebrate V-Day with someone special.. Girls thanks for the great service i will see you in two weeks!!!
