East End hosts popular national acts (such as Ty Segall) as well as popular local acts (such as Sistafist), so on any given night it can be difficult to make your way to the bar. When this happens, head to the upstairs bar and use cash to pay. Also, it's not a bad idea to bring your own toilet paper. It's THAT kind of bar.

This awesomely grungy hipster dive is as rock&roll as it gets. Upstairs + downstairs bars, live music, DJs, cheap drinks. Menu is half vegan.

Best Punk Rock bar in Portland. I didnt get to this place until one AM and it will still crowded on a Wednesday night. Lots of good looking people to those of whom it matters to, but mostly punk rockers and a few indie types. This is a great place to come with friends to enjoy some good music. maybe meet some new people (its one of those places you can actually talk to new people). Crowd seemed between 21-35, perfect place for those who are feeling kinda punk rocky.
