Ideally located in downtown Portland, the totally new Hotel Fifty overlooks the Willamette River and Tom McCall Waterfront Park - literally where "downtown meets the river. …

Just across Naito Parkway from the mighty Willamette, this nicely renovated boutique hotel has great views (make sure you request a river-facing room) and an excellent if under the radar restaurant, H50 Bistro.
Affordable and cute. I personally prefer a hotel with unique style..even if it means sacrificing some of the luxury you might find in huge chain-hotels. Hotel fifty was cute, and stylish. But not luxurious. Love the lobby and the restaurant/bar. Chicken sandwich and shoestring fries were good..I heard from friends the rest of the menu is as well. Rooms are clean, the price is fair, my only problem was the rooms were a litle cold. But the bed was nice and comfy so all was well. I would stay here again.
Pleasantly surprised!. After reading the other reviews on here, I almost didn't stay, but the rate I found was so much cheaper than all of the other downtown-ish hotels that I couldn't pass it up. PLUS it didn't look bad from their website. This hotel was awesome! My room was very clean & very sleek in the decor. The shower is open with 1/2 glass pane which I loved. There's no view out of the rooms...but who cares? The parking was very convenient (right behind the hotel & covered) and there was always street parking as well. There are flat screens on the walls, silky black comforters and black curtains. Love it! The staff is wonderful and the bar/restaurant is also awesome with an open fireplace in the center. The beet salad was simply delicous! I will continue to stay here as the price is right and for what you get...it's a STEAL! Don't let these other reviews scare you away.
Wouldn't go back. I'd been wanting to try H50 Bistro & Bar for a while. The pictures on the website make the place look much cooler than it is. The specialty cocktail prices range from $8-$13 and I couldn't find one to get excited about. Their happy hour pricing consists of a $1 off drinks and food. With so many other really great happy hour alternatives, I wouldn't go back. Additionally, the place was almost empty which is a hard feat to pull off in a town that loves its happy hour.
REALLY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS HOTEL. VERY DISAPPOINTED in this hotel. My husband and I rented a King room this last weekend. It was not clean, the sheets had stains on them and there was an old beer cap on top of the lamp. The bathroom accessories were not cleaned either. There was absolutely no art work on the walls and also no ice machine. There were chest freezers w/ bags of ice in the hallway! I had expected a much higher quality of room. This was more like an upgraded Motel 6. I would not stay here again.
This former Sheraton hotel's renovation and rebranding increased its appeal for both business and leisure travelers..
In Short

Elsewhere, further hotel amenities include the H50 bistro & bar and a 24-hour business center.
