Be Careful. I've been debating about reviewing this place, namely Rev Doug or whatever his name is but after completing my 5th tattoo removal laser treatment ($800 so far) do to the terrible tattoo I received from him, I figured I owe it to the public. I brought in the picture, had it stenciled on my arm and went from there. There are numerous spots where he went to deep or just left ink dots for no reason but the main thing was he decided to improvise in mid-tattoo and do some sort of drop shadow and totally screwed it up (it won't let me use stronger language). As my girlfriend said, 'It looks like a 3-year old took a crayon and tried to color around it.' I'm embarrassed by it and it will take another $1,000 just to get the shitty parts removed and covered up by a professional. He seemed totally indifferent. As a tattoo artist in Seattle said after looking at it, 'You should have stood up and punched him in the face.' Don't go here. They are awful.

First Tattoo Ever!. When I turned 30 years old I decided I wanted to get a tattoo. I wanted it to be very meaningful and well thought out.Well, on June 23rd 2010, I finally found the tattoo that I had been searching for. This journey has lasted nearly 12 years. I went into Portland hoping to get into a different tattoo shop that wasn't Pearl District Tattoo. The people were quite rude and the shop wasn't all that appealing. So, I used technology to find other shops in PDX. Pearl District Tattoo was one of the first shops that I called and they had no problem with me walking in the same day. Doug,tattoo artist at Pearl,was an awesome guy. Doug has a great sense of humor,choice in music, and overall great personality. I will go back as a repeat customer, and have other friends that I am going to share this experience with.

Awesome work, best artists!. Went to Pearl District Tattoo to have a tattoo that I already had touched up and added to. They do amazing work and I love the outcome. They took my ideas and drew them out exactly like I wanted! The staff is very friendly and makes the experience very comfortable!

The best in town!!. I went to see Doug for my first tattoo:A runner on my ankle. Not only did he take care of helping with the design but his attitude and professionalism were key in helping me decide.

The work was done perfectly with no issues and a painless process.

I hope to go in again soon as a repeat customer!!

Great work, beautiful studio.... Great experience here, seemed a little expensive for the small work my friend and I got, but it was very clean and the studio is gorgeous. Creative artists. Will go back for sure!

Hands Down BEST Tattoo store in town!. Pearl District Tattoo is hands down the best tattoo shop in Portland! I had Bradley do my first tattoo and couldn't be more pleased! He did an amazing job, extremely friendly, and is just a great guy... The place is immaculate also. This was a pretty big deciding factor for me. Just walking in you will be able to tell you are in an upscale shop and will definitely feel comfortable with this place! I will definitely be back for my next one and would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for any tattoo work!

Great tattoo place. Bradley did tattoos for my husband and I and did a great job. He's a fabulous artist and was very kind to me as it was my first tattoo. The shop was very clean and professional looking which I appreciated very much. Both of our tattoos look awesome.

Great tattoo place and artists!. While visiting Portland I decided to get a tattoo and came upon this shop. It's by far the cleanest tattoo shop I've ever been in ever! The artists are friendly and down to earth which makes doing business with them so easy. Pricing is reasonable and the art they do here is just amazing! I only got something little but very pleased with the whole experience. If visiting again I would go back here and highly recommend them to everyone wanting or thinking about getting a tattoo.

If your looking for Five Star ink and a Five Star place Pearl District is it..... You wont find a better place. Its comfortable, clean, and fresh. The artists are awesome. Just had a dove put on my hand and people are always saying how much they like it. I four tattoos now, and am only getting started. But all the rest will come from Pearl District. Thanks guys

No Other Shop Compares. Let me first tell you that the owners & artists are what make this shop so fantastic. They are so friendly & so down to earth. The artists abilities are beyond words. There's no need to look around. Nothing but masterpieces come from Pearl District Tattoo from tiny to gigantic; they can do it all.
