Portland >Pearl District Tattoo
Upscale Environment, Fantastic Pricing, Outstanding Quality. The Pearl District Tattoo was a great place for me to get my first tattoo. I had contemplated getting a tattoo for ten years, I always knew what I wanted but after visiting many tattoo shops and meeting various artists, I never felt comfortable enough with any of them to go through with it. When I first visited the Pearl District Tattoo, I was instantly greeted by a friendly receptionist who made sure I had all the information I needed to get started on the tattooing process. The parlor space was exceptionally clean and modern looking, not like some of the dive places that look like you might catch something by just sitting down. I was impressed by the simple but elegant style and decor of the parlor itself and the upscale location in the Pearl District. When I was done filling out paperwork, I was introduced to my artist. I looked over previous work he had done, and we spoke about what I had in mind and where to put it. He gave off such a spectaculor vibe, I was completely in awe and utterly impressed with him. He was clean, orderly, and thoroughly professional. I felt like we bonded quickly, enough to have him included in such a personal experience. My personal artist Bradley took time with me, explaining the process, and did the job quickly and without fuss. He was completely compassionate with my whimpers and whines, and was constantly checking the status of my comfort level. I appreciated the fact that they didn't have the "churn 'em out" mentality like some places. My artist really cared about what would make me happy. He took my ideas, drew them out exactly the way I wanted, he incorporated ideas in my head that I couldn't even visualize, and did it all on the spot. He really listened to me and didn't jump to conclusions about what I liked. He added his own style to it, that gave my art more dimension and it turned out awesome. I ended up with a great looking tattoo, it was exactly what I had envisioned and a great start to my body art collection.
