V-Ron! Where have you been all my life?. I hesitate to write this review only because Veronica is my secret weapon... I can get in to see her without having to make an appointment weeks in advance, her prices are incredibly reasonable, and her cut and color skills are MAD! Ever had that experience of having to go home and quickly re-style your hair after leaving the salon before anyone sees you? Well, everytime I leave Veronica's chair, I want to go straight out to a bar, drink whiskey and flirt with cute boys...regardless of how frumped up I felt when I came in. If that weren't enough (and really it should be), I also get non-stop compliments from other women on both my cut and color, which pleases my vapid little ego to no end. ;) Veronica is seriously one of the best stylists in town.

BEST HAIR STYLISTS/PEOPLE IN PORTLAND!. Ward is an incredible hair stylist! I've been seeing him for almost two years and have always gotten perfect hair cuts and coloring from him. You won't find a more talented and genuinely nice hair stylist ANYWHERE! Ward is the real deal check him out!

Janelle Winter : Portlands Best Hair Artist. I cannot express in words the talent this girl possesses, she is beyond any words that my meager vocabulary can express.

I am an African American female that has been trying to grow my hair out naturally for years...but I have not been able to find a stylist that knows how to work with my hair type until i came across Janelle. I swear to God she is THE BEST! She does this amazing smoothing treatment on my hair that makes it feel like silk, the color she puts in always makes my hair have the most beautiful shine and depth to it. And recently she gave me extensions that are TO DIE FOR!

Finding a stylist that is so dedicated, excited, honest, and thorough is rare, and for the first time in a long time I am embracing my naturally curly hair. Janelle is truly an artist.

Janelle rocks my hair!. Janelle is great! Professional and courteous. My wife always loves my haircut from her, and she is too honest about it sometimes. You can't go wrong with Janelle.

Satisfied Customer from Eugene. Ward cut my hair a month ago. But it isn't just a cut - it is a work of art! I work at a job where I am around a lot of people. I have had at least 4 people a day tell me how fabulous I look and how much they like my hair. People actually do a double take, light up, and throw out the compliments. Thanks Ward. I will be back. I look fabulous! I look at others who have similar cuts but theirs doesn't have the attitude that mine has. I am 57 with graying hair but I love the new me!

Simple haircut done exceptionally well.. Went to see Janelle and got exactly what I wanted. I don't ask for more than a simple haircut so when it's done well, with a little extra attention and a nice conversation it goes a long way. Looking forward to going back. Thanks, James.

Janelle's the best hair stylist is Portland. Nay, THE WORLD.. Go to Ward Stroud "Artisans of Hair" and ask for Janelle. You will receive the best color and cut of your life.

I swear, this lady was Athena's hair stylist, and the only reason she turned Medusa into a gorgon was because Athena was jealous that Janelle also styled her hair.

Also, this lady managed to take my horribly tattered mane from a processed red to a white. Like, snow white hair, in the cutest pixie cut I've ever seen. She did all this, and managed to make my hair feel like....well.... healthy hair again.

This woman is a goddess of hair. Just sayin'.

Janelle is amazing!. Janelle W. at Ward Stroud is amazing! Yet another reason to live in NW Portland is the Ward Stroud Artisans of Hair Salon on NW 21st Av, Portland. Through the years my girlfriends and I have had many conversations about how hard it is to find a Stylist/Colorist who is good at cutting hair AND coloring hair. Well - look no further. Janelle is very talented at both. Right now I'm in a style grow out phase and my hair still looks great (cut and color)! Janelle always has ideas and suggestions for me. She's also very friendly and fun.

Veronica is the best!. I originally found Veronica before she was at Ward Stroud and she was so great I made an effort to make sure I knew where she went. She's great at listening to what you want and also giving great recommendations. I'm not so crazy when it comes to hairstyles but she's definitely helped me get outside of my comfort zone. I had my hair really long for awhile and then I decided to cut is shorter than I usually do. Veronica did a great job! Can't wait to go see her again and see how my hair turns out! I bet it will be amazing!
