a very nice experience. We enjoyed a special evening there, small portions, a little on the expensive side, but overall we had a good experience and would go back.

Another NOPO Jewel. Miho is just another reason why I love NoPo! Really good food without the fuss. Go in order at the counter.....Don't feel overwhelmed the waitstaff is great help! I have gone through phases with what I order from Miho.....I started with all the proteins... Pork Belly and sweet egg, char-siu Pork, Pork balls, Loco Moco,Scallops and to be honest the list goes on. But as the seasons changed so did my food interest. I moved on to the Asparagus, Miso-yaki eggplant is like sweet butter! Ika salad is perfectly dressed along fresh herbs...REFRESHING to say the least. Poke is one of my Favs. My favorite sake is Harbor but there is lots to choose from. Looks like they have a lot of beer options as well. There is always fresh fruit on the desert menu which I appreciate very much! I am a pretty poor student, and always walk out of Miho feeling good about the money I spent. EAT HERE! Also, I don't have kids but seems like a great place for families!

good, just watch your bill. I was overcharged. Pointed it out, and the response was basically "so, do you have a problem with that?".

No offer to make it right since they felt it was pretty small. I gave a 20% tip, so I can't think that was the issue.

Good food, however.

having an expectation will disappoint you. The food was disappointingly mediocre........actually not so good if you expect it to be the Japanese style tapas. Overall, the food was on a greasy side. Garlic fried rice had a small pool of oil when we tiled the plate. Tempura gave us a bit of a shock; it was heavily battered, unusually brown and wet. I don't recommend it. Although it can be improved, grilled eggplant with miso paste was pretty good. If this was the only Izakaya in town, I will go back, but unfortunately, Portland has other options that are better than Miho.
