Mismatched thrift store furniture and a relaxed demeanor make this North Portland hipster bar an excellent spot to savor a belly-warming red in the winter, and in the summer, the charmingly tousled garden is the perfect place to take down the excellent house burger. If you need a bottle to go, duck into the adjoining bottle shop—the savvy staff will steer you towards exactly what you seek.

Tips for Hop and Vine

Two months ago i would of given the Hop and Vine 4 stars.
Today i went in to grab a quick bite and a drink after a long day of work, to find a rude note saying they were no longer letting children in past six....WT$. It does not go with their image?
We along with many others have enjoyed being able to walk in our hood to grab a adult drink and a quick meal.
I can understand after 8 pm but 6- who can get home and out to eat before 6.
Second- they keep trimming down their food menu. They have almost no food.....be warned....
We have told many to go- and have taken friends there- but no longer...what a shame- THey choose to not be part of their community- to excluded....Lame.

Molly on the bar and Martha in the Kitchen.. YUM!!. *.*. and I stopped in for happy hour on friday and loved the asparagus and egg thingy as well as the bacon wrapped dates. In fact the five dishes we tried were spot on, but you can't go wrong with Martha in the kitchen, most recently at Paley's. Molly made us a few rounds of Ruby Reds, and a joie d' Pimms, THE two best cocktails anywhere. We'll be spending a lot of time in this friendly newish NOPO gem. Cheers!
