John Gorman does a great job mixing simple delicious food with a fun vibrant atmosphere. Don't forget to look for the Meat deli in the back as well! Family friendly.) Go.

Really busy but really good. It's worth the wait. Can't wait to try chop.

long wait, food's great. The wait was long, but the menu is diverse and the food came out hot so I'm not complaining. Brunch was delicious and since their menu changes regularly I'm looking forward to going back soon and seeing there's anything new.

Different - in a good way. When I want to switch it up I go to Tasty n Sons. Their diverse menu is a plus and the food has been delicious.

I recommend the breakfast board and the shakshuka.

The service has been good, however you're probably going to have to wait for a table.

ick ick ick. We were thrilled to get a gift certificate for our anniversary to Tasty and Sons. Well, it wasn't tasty at all, it was down right nasty. The service was horrible, the food was heavy and gross, our venison biscuit and gravy was full of inedible grissle, need I say more? And the food came out so slowly that by the time we were thoroughly nauseous and ready to leave, our inattentive server brought us a check that included food we never got. Nice touch Tasty....bill us for food your kitchen couldn't even get out in the 45 miserable minutes we were there. Sadly, we're stuck with money on a gift certificate that we'll never use.

Give it a try to say you have 'been there, done that'. I just wasnt really impressed. Perhaps the foodie write ups had me too excited. I thought the menu was great w/a big, unusual selection but... overpriced.

Service was eh. I dont need a group to poor over me but they all seemed highly indifferent.

We asked for a table as we had some fairly sensitive topics to discuss. No table. Family dining only at the big table.

I guess between the service and the pricing it's fairly low on my 'go back to' list.

I dont believe in reviews bashing a kitchen for not serving a dish as you like it. It's not as if they mind-meld with their customers. They dont know you. They have a way they prepare it and out it goes. It's call efficiency and frankly it's about creative cooking and putting some flavors together that you might not have ever thought of.

Ask about something prior to ordering if you could be so bothered by it.

Dessert Headlines. If you don't eat anything else, you have to try the "Auntie Paula's French Toast Sundae with bananas, caramel & nuts." Sincerely, one of the best desserts in town. It was too bad we were full when we got to it! However, we managed to power through. It's that good. It was worth the stomach ache!

The menu provides an interesting variety of choices. In general, the food is prepared well. They also have some creative bar beverages. The service is on the slower side. My second drink order disappeared for quite some time. The place is bustling and the tables are nearly mashed together. Be prepared to basically share your meal with your neighbors. Luckily, the customers are friendly!

The prices are on the high side but not so high as to raise eyebrows. It would probably be a good idea to share most items. I most likely will go back but not for awhile and maybe on a weeknight vs. a weekend.

Great food BUT.... Great food and service but there were a couple of things I didn't like. Curiously they refused to give me the password to their wifi and they charge $2 for a very small soda and charge for each refill. (I'd guess 8-9 oz) There is a huge mark up on soda and what would it hurt if I wanted to use the wifi?

This being said it won't stop me from going back. Next time I'll bring a paper and drink water.

"Family Style" just doesn't work.... Let me start with the pros: Great service, neat trendy atmosphere, interesting flavors and combinations. Really, this place does have good food BUT.......

Serving food "family style" only works for food that is easily scoop-able. My family and I came to Tasty thinking we'd order our own dishes and not share. But, when the server tells you they serve dishes as they come out because they are meant to be served "family style", it makes things a little difficult. For example, my brother ordered a BLT. I'm sorry, but BLT's are just not meant to be cut into smaller sandwiches and then shared amongst a very hungry family that waited in line for an hour....especially when it is served without the top piece of bread. Same for the hamburger my sister's kids ordered.... although it did have the whole bun. I ordered the french toast. I am highly sensitive to syrups and expected the berry "syrup" to be on the side (as is normal to expect) along with the whipped cream. Nope. Both were slathered all over my french toast. I spent a good amount of time scraping the top layer of my french toast to avoid overdosing on sugary berry topping. My husband ordered the steak and eggs. The butter was slathered all over the whole meal and soaked into the corn meal pancake. The steak and eggs were served on top of the pancake, which was mushy and blended in with the eggs.

At least my father was happy with his fritatta.

I guess what I'm trying to say is this: Tasty is a great place to go if you want your food mixed up for you. I'm sure it is a better eating experience for most people....but I also can't help but feel they say they serve the food "family style" so that they have an excuse to bring one plate out at a time to save on the hassle of keeping everybody's food warm and bringing it all out at once.

Tasty: If you do family style, try to make the dishes easier to serve or at least give customers the option of not having family style if they order things like sandwiches and such.
