I'm extremely partial to this space--some of the best nights I don't really remember have begun/ended at evening tenant M Bar, so naturally I'm in love with its am coffeehouse by association. It doesn't hurt that they have exceptional coffee. And very tasty sandwiches. And at night it turns into M Bar. Did I mention that already? I forgot.

Setting up a charming cafe within M Bar during the daylight hours, Sterling Roasters has fantastic coffee served by handsomely dapper folks, sans any attitude other than being delighted to see you. The breakfast baguette spread with butter and dijon mustard, layered with prosciutto - very European, very big and a very decadent way to start off your morning.

Sterling Coffee Roasters. Handsome folk dressed in turn-of-the-century “Newsies” chic brew single-cup drip, French press, and espresso drinks from rotating single origins, which are roasted daily on the city’s smallest roaster – so fresh grounds are never a concern. The owners and much of the crew also run Coffeehouse Northwest, which quickly gained a cultish following after it opened in 2006. Halfway between coffee cart and café, the walk-up stand makes up in style and content what it lacks in seating. Browse fresh flowers at Sammy’s or pop into Trader Joe’s while your coffee is lovingly prepared.
