While some comedy clubs have a drink minimum, Helium has a two-item minimum in an effort to promote the above-average food menu. Be sure to make these purchases in the showroom however. Food and drink purchased in the lounge area before, and even during the show, do not count toward this minimum.

With comedy acts 5 nights a week, Helium Comedy Club is a pretty sure bet for a night of laughs. Get there early, order a drink and then hop in line for the general adm seating. The tables are amply spaced the waitstaff is on top of their tables needs. It's a good time.

By far the best comedy club in Portland!. Went to Helium for a night out and we all had so much fun! The atmosphere is great, relaxed and chic. The service was superb and everyone was super friendly to us from start to finish. The acts that this club brings in are by far the best acts in town...often some pretty big names, not to mention you get to see them in an intimate venue! We laughed so much, it really just set the tone for a fantastic evening. I would recommend checking this club out!

A bad way for a business to establish any kind of loyalty. I have been several times and found the acts to be of decent quality and the food was pretty tasty but my last experience there was so bad that I will not be going back. All I can say is that yes I was aware of the two drink minimum on the show floor but REFUSE to accept that spending $80 in the lobby beforehand on food and drink does not count.... and this was after paying for two full price tickets. At least you get free tickets from Harveys Comedy Club after your first attendance so it all averages out to about a $50 night versus a $100 night for two people. To make matters worse the waitress (on the show floor) was very rude to us about it and that just isn't called for. One more thing...., make sure you understand how the reserve tickets work. Even after paying the additional premium for RESERVED tickets, if you do not get there well before the show then they have the option of reselling your tickets to someone else.
