Normally dark bars and restaurants are my thing, but there's something about slurping down a bowl of Saimin (Noodles, Pork Belly, Fish Cake & Soft-Cooked Egg, Broth) surrounded by bright decor under the sky-light of Portland's bright gray sky, that makes everything all right.

At times, one will rage a little too hard at Chopsticks II karaoke. Those Heart and ODB songs were not going to sing themselves and no one says "no" to free tequila. Now you're too hungover to move, what do you do? You call Delivered Dish to bring you some Kal-Bi Pork Ribs and Saimin with a side of Macaroni Salad from Ate Oh Ate--that's what you do.

When a shave ice craving hits, hightail it to this Burnside Hawaiian joint, where you'll get a massive mound of the soft, snowy stuff and high-quality plate lunch staples from the guys behind Simpatica and Laurelhurst Market. Opt for the dollar 2-choice upgrade so you can try two different plate lunch proteins. Happy hour daily!
ORGANIC AND LOW PRICED.. They serve all organic meat which is important to me. They are about a dollar more than other teriyaki places in the surrounding area. I have tried the Hekka, Teriyaki Beef + Chicken, Katsu, Island Burger, and Spam Musubi. I have loved all of the items I have tried from Ate-Oh-Ate. BONUS: If you are not wanting to leave the house you can have them delivered to your front door through DELIVERED DISH. YUM
we liked this place. we ate dinner here in march 2011. had 3 items, kula pork, korean beef ribs, sweet potato tempura. we especially liked the tempura. the korean beef ribs were good also. nicely modeled interior and accomodating staff. friendly. we will try this again for lunch. very generous portions.
