The meat is carefully selected (Wagyu cows come with certification papers & the restaurant only purchases a few per year), the produce is local and the wine pairings are phenomenal.

If you dream of breakfasting on grilled flatiron steak & eggs and strawberry rhubarb buttermilk pancakes in a cowhide-covered banquette inside a downtown luxury hotel atrium, you've come to the right place. (The breakfast bell rings at 6:30am daily, for you early early birds.)

Amazing steaks, despite the rather campy atmosphere. Try the Cheese Cart! Fromager Lindsey Walton has curated a top-notch list of a dozen cheese selections, complete with accessible and engaging table-side service.

The bar /restaurant on the 8th floor lobby level of The Nines Hotel is a great spot to imbibe in a posh happy hour. The menu has a great selection of classical favorites, mac-n-cheese, deviled eggs, sliders. The service was spot and the environment is reminiscent of an art gallery. Tip: also a great place to wind down your evening and enjoy dessert while relaxing on a couch or club chair in one of their seating vignettes.
Oh my gosh this is my all time favorite restaurant in Portland! Amazing food, great service and atmosphere. The brunch on the weekends is the best! They have great bloody marys with all the goodies you could want, including candied bacon! Yumm
