In true St John's fashion, this patchwork coffee shop showcases the vibe in regards to decor ( loungers, bar stools, divans) and clientele.

At Anna Bannanas the 1/2 sandwiches are the same as the loaded bagels, so go with the sandwiches. It's a nice little joint for a light lunch and people watching.
Great coffe, comfortable space, good company. Anna Bannanas is a wonderful place to hang. Service is excellent and they have the best coffee in St Johns, as well as some great food (not the Mac and Cheese, but everything else). Their castle is the best kid's playpen around. The ambiance is cozy and very Portland (old couches, etc). Their Wifi is part of Personal Telco, part of their social awareness and community involvement, which I love, but sadly it is weak and slow. Enough for me most times, but I do wish it were better. I'm there often because they stay open later than the other coffee shops in St Johns and their coffee is the best, but not as good as their wonderful Acai smoothies, which are yummy and really recharge your batteries. Love them, and the breakfast sandwiches. St. Johns would not be the same without Anna Bannanas. You have to love a place where you walk in and you feel at home right away.
Great customer service and coffee!.
I stopped in at Anna Bannanas today on the recommendation of a friend and was greatly impressed! The coffee is probably the best I've had in ages and the sandwich (a Spinach Smoked Turkey with Provalone) was excellent. The atmosphere was very comfortable as well. Customer service outstanding. LOL... they even make one of those leaf designs on my mocha coffee!
I will definitely be going back!
I love Anna's!. I love everything about Anna Bannana's. The baristas are hilarious and relaxed, and they seem to like their jobs, which makes it more enjoyable to be a customer here. Whoever is making my coffee always chats me up. This place treats its customers well. The coffee is really good, I recommend the Milky Way Lattee, Hawaiian Mocha or the Ghiradelhi Frappe if you like chocolate! Pretty good snacks including vegan treats, but the brownies can be kind of dry. They do have a lot in the way of food for lunches, though, from sandwiches to bread plates with cheese or macaroni, all of which is pretty good for a coffee shop. Free wireless and comfy chairs also earn Anna Bannana's major points in my book. There's also a whole section of the cafe that's built like a castle with all kinds of books and toys for little kids, so even moms can catch a break!
