Everyone’s favorite Portland parlour has seen lines snaking around the block as eager patrons clamor for a scoop of dandelion sorbet with spring flowers or Arbequina olive oil ice cream. Okay, you can order double fold vanilla or chocolate with gooey brownies if you must, but broaden your horizons and try the addictive sea salt with caramel ribbons. Or forgo ice cream altogether and indulge in one of the crazy good espresso drinks or a freshly baked pastry.

The 2nd outpost for the beloved farm-fresh ice cream shop. Flavors like the honey balsamic strawberry with cracked pepper--in addition to rotating new combinations--keep the crowds coming.

Very unique and creative local ice cream (and coffee) shop! All homemade ice cream in funky flavored right on 23rd. Sea salt + vanilla = yum. I highly recommend getting a split single of sea salt + caramel ribbons + Butter Brickle with Salted Ganache. Also if you're craving it but don't want to stand in line, you can skip ahead and buy a pint ;)

Fresh strawberries with balsamic and honey, pear and Gorgonzola. Sounds different but at Salt & Straw different is good!

This delicious shop is located across the street from my office on NW 23rd. Their baked goods are delicious, as is their coffee and ice cream. My seasonal ice cream favorite thus far is the Albequina Olive Oil ice cream, and from their regular menu the Banana Spicy Monkey ice cream is fantastic. I highly suggest anyone who like unique flavors of ice cream give Salt & Straw a try :)
