While by definition Lardo refers to "a type of salume made by curing strips of fatback with rosemary and other herbs and spices," I think it may also refer your new nickname if you visit here more than twice a week. Even the juices on the vegetarian Rapini sandwich drip down your hands in the most deliciously, succulent way.
The Chickpea sandwich made me say “Pork who?” right before my love affair with pork & the Double Burger (pork belly, cheddar, lardo sauce) took flight. Love can be so complicated.
Tried eating an entirely vegetarian meal at this meat mecca just for kicks, and discovered that I love the fried chickpea sandwich with tzatziki & pickled red onions & an escarole Caesar just as much as the smoked coppa Cubano & porky "Dirty Fries". Gasp!
The show-stopper here is the Smoked Coppa Cubano, with ham, dijon, and pickles. Another must try: the Crater Lake Root Beer...on tap!
