"OVER THE TOP" CARE

by Karen Trogdon at Citysearch

To All Animal Lovers Who Want The BEST Care For Their Pets

We recommend that you come to the Sunset Animal Clinic in Cedar Hills, Oregon and meet with Dr. Fred Labavitch regarding care for your pet. We have been associated with the clinic and Dr. Labavitch for over 30 years now and have always been very satisfied with the care that has been received over the lifetime of 3 beautiful dogs. The care received on our new fourth dog, Pookie, has been "over the top" care.

Pookie was our first adopted dog. He had been extemely abused and you could see every bone in his little body due to being malnutritioned. We decided to adopt the little guy and knew that if anyone could help us get him back in the "pink" it would be Dr. Labavitch.

Well, it took Dr. Labavitch a little longer on Pookie but he did not stop until he found out what was wrong. Pookie had "Green Valley Fever", a fungus spore that lives in the dirt of the more arid southwestern states. Pookie had come from southern California.

Dr. Labavitch never gave up on Pookie. He spent several hours of his own time talking with other vets, both here in Oregon and other states. Through special tests and knowing that Pookie had some other problems, Fred diagmoised a the life threatning problems: Green Valley Fever, a stomach ulcer, and a pyloric valve that wasn't relaxing to allow his food to pass into the intestines. This little guy was very sick.

Through the expert care of Dr. Labavitch, Pookie now weighs 12 lbs. 2 oz. and is healthy with normal blood work.

Dr. Labavitch never gave up on little Pookie and we would never take our pets to anyone else.

Do not trust him

by vetreview1 at Citysearch

This Doctor will take advantage of your love for your pet. He makes you dependant on his care when he is not the only doctor in town. He never quotes the cost of care and when he does it never comes close to what the cost actually is. He over charges and over treats. He does costly care that is unnecessary. He misdiagnosed my dog and ended up putting him in kidney failure after over medicating for something he did not have. Do not trust him.
