Professional & Personable. Salesperson, Marc, was straightforward with great suggestions to solve a chronic problem with lack of circulation in the attic & humidity problem. Solar fan, additional roof vent, and replacing leaking pipe flashing over bathroom was done by a skilled personable installer. It's been raining and no leaks, and my house breaths. The price was very reasonable for such a great team effort.

Good Value, Very Poor Communication. 2.5 Stars. We priced out a few roofers for our home and Western Pacific seemed like the best deal and the most straightforward (without throwing in all sorts of secret, unnecessary work that would have cost us $2000 more if we'd gone with another company).

However, it was consistently a hassle to find out when they were going to show up for the job. Granted, weather was unpredictable but there was literally NO communication on their end regarding when they were planning to show up for the job. I had to call each day and ask, "are they coming today? any idea what time?" Which wouldn't have been a big deal, except that we needed to be home in order to give them access inside our house for a power source and I needed to plan my day around when they were going to be on the job.

They said they would start on Thursday and be done end of Friday. They ended up finishing later in the day on Saturday. Fine, no big deal, we can work with that.

The part that really got me was at the end. At the beginning of the transaction, Alan, the owner, told us that after the job someone would come by and inspect everything to make sure it was completed the way it should. The manager person (can't remember his name) showed up for the check and I asked him, "Are you planning to inspect it?" He said, "Oh, sure, I guess I can do that." He did and found that there was something not completed. Two days later I called to ask what the status was...again..no communication. He said, "Oh, he has been out there and fixed it...it was a quick thing, so you coulda just missed him."

I took his word for it. But another two days later, in the middle of my 2 year old's nap time we hear heavy banging on the roof...the guy was back to fix what hadn't been done. So either his worker lied to him or he lied to me about the problem being solved.

Overall, even though I felt pretty positive about this company at the beginning of the process, the super awful communication left me with a sour taste and I don't feel I can totally recommend them. But, the price did seem to be fair based on other quotes received.

Pros: seem knowledgable, friendly, good product, fair quote

Cons: communication stinks, not thorough in completion unless initiated by the client, sluggish pace

Best roofing company to deal with messy insurance.. The insurance company had already denied my claim for the wind damage on my roof. Alan, from Western Pacific Roofing, came out to my house, dealt with the insurance, and got my entire roof replaced for me for the price of my deductible. I couldn't have asked for more! The crew was always on time, and courteous, and Alan was a saviour! Thanks, Gunny Sgt.
