This eccentric little strip mall donut shop’s offerings are unique, fresh and not overly sweet, so I never feel too guilty partaking. A cup of coffee + a colorful booth + the cardamom glaze and toasted almond topped Shizzle = an excellent mood-lifter on a dreary winter morning.

Yeah, it's in a strip mall on Powell, but there's no long line and the donuts are fresh, without corn syrup, fried in trans-fat free oil, with vegan options. My favorite is the apple pie donut, hands down.

Tasty donuts, friendly service, funky atmosphere, and no long lines around the corner. Standouts include anything with chocolate.

reminded me of homemade.
my husband picked up doughnuts for us last weekend in the middle of an all day canning session. i'm not usually a big doughnut fan, but these really reminded me of the raised doughnuts my mom would make for us occasionally growing up. i tried both the regular glazed doughnut ("the old goat") and the maple topped glazed doughnut ("the cara-maple"). both were very tasty and very different from the doughnuts i've had at other shops. i didn't try any of the cake doughnuts.
i'm basing my review entirely on the product. i haven't actually been in the store, so i can't say anything about the location or decor. my husband did say that the guy he talked to at the counter was really friendly.
we'll definitely go again!
