Best I've found in Portland. Since moving to Portland, it has taken me three years of hunting to find a barber who can cut my hair well. I have wavy hair which is difficult to cut well at the length I like it. A buddy with curly hair told me I should check out Bart's, so I did back in May, and have gotten nothing but excellent cuts since then.

They take their time and get it perfect, so don't go if you've only got a few minutes to spare for a haircut -- But then, if that's your thinking, just go to GreatClips.

This is also the place to get your mustache wax if you use Pinaud Clubman.

Bart is the best! Don't believe everything you read!. My husband and 2 sons have been going to Bart for 2 years! We travel from Gresham because it is worth the drive! $17 is more than reasonable for a great hair cut. Bart takes his time and is a "perfectionist"! My boys look great! Thank-you!

Save yourself from the over priced hair butcher. This joke of a cheesey barber named Bart, someone should tell this jerk that just because you charge 17 for a cut does not mean that you need to talk for freekin ever to every damn client that walks through your door! Just because you are robbing these jerks including my boyfriend with your half arsed trim...look...trim....look...cut...talk...talk....talk.... talking the guilt of your robbery ...and the cut was terrible!

Plus he stands there like do you want change...duh duh duh change duh, assuming that you don't so he can rob you for 3 more dollars.

Barts got a good thing going on. I like Bart's Barber Shop a lot. I used to get my hair cut in all the classic Portland places, i.e. bishops. I was never really happy with my hair.

I've gone back to Bart's 2 times now. Not only did he remember me and the hair cut I got before but I had a great time just hanging out waiting to get my hair cut.

We talked about Star Trek, NPR, and Bikes while watching movies on Hulu.

I would recommend this shop to all my friends.
